If you have this professor, I advise you switch. he is rude to students, has locked people out for being a few minutes late, and will call you out for touching your phone. he will call you out if you get in class after he starts lecturing and is very intimidating. he won't care for his students he made me hate ever coming to his classes.

The most important thing is to not take this profresor. Firstly he is very hard at marking and first test is super hard. Almost everyone failed it. Secondly, this person is very assertive. I feel tense in class . Dont use cellphones in class or you will be humiliated. Also dont fall asleep in class or you will be woken up and also humiliated.

Fotios is a great prof! I had him this past semester for CMN100 and loved it! He may come across as a "rude" professor but that's just his humour. I thought he was hilarious where as some of my friends didn't quite like his class. He is a very fair marker and gives you ample feedback. His classes were so enjoyable that I never wanted to skip class

IF THIS IS YOUR TEACHER SWITCH CLASSES NOW!!!! I had him for CMN and he was awful. Rude to classmates and made fun of them if they didn't understand. Super hard marker and will not give anything higher than an 80. Gave information on assignments after they were done then marked you wrong on his late information. Avoid at all costs.

students taking CMN124/279, I do not recommend this prof. He does give good feedback, but his grading system is inconsistent. Participating in class is recommended. DO NOT SKIP CLASS AND PREPARE TO WORK EXTRA HARD IF YOU HAVE HIM. I would recommend having the full version of Grammarly. You can either buy it or get a full version from a friend.

- He's a really tough marker had him for CMN 124 last term, This professor is really strict on course materials, and he wants everything to be perfect. He tries to joke around but none of them are funny when you have a serious face. He's always talking about criticism. My advise take another professor or do this course online.

Avoid Fotios at all costs, he is a good prof - no doubt, but a tough marker and it's hard to know what he expects from you. My highschool EnglishWriter's Craft teacher said my writing was beyond exceptional, Fotios on the other hand, said I need to work on it a lot. You're going to struggle getting an A+, save your GPA and pick a better prof.

Fotios is a very tough grader. Most of the time I had no idea what he expected of me, and even when I did a good job it was never good enough for him. There are no exams which is great, and only one small quiz at the beginning. He is very hard to please, but from what I hear all of the profs for this class are, so pick your poison.

I thoroughly enjoyed his classes. Absolutely great teaching techniques. He's a tough grader only because his standards are much higher. Most people in 1st year complain because this course has a lot of writing and other BTM courses have almost none. His advice is extremely helpful and you should definitely speak to him if you have any problems.

Personally, I did not find his classes enjoyable nor a comfortable environment. I always felt tense in that class. Whatever grade you want, you will get 10% less. Some people like his realist perspective, however I found it rude. I recommend that you switch out and find another prof.
