Boyle is probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. I've been to his office hours plenty of times, and he's always willing to help me with my papers. I actually feel like I'm learning in English for once. I enjoyed all of the poems/stories he assigns. BEST CLASS TAKE BOYLE!

Boyle is intelligent, insightful, and entertaining. Extremely passionate and incredibly knowledgable about whatever he's teaching. Shows you the shining guts of great literature and points out all the **** jokes too. A gem. Take him.

this class was so hard. he expects us to have the reading skills like him. yeah he is really smart and all, but he is demanding way too much from us. this guy is intimidating, pretentious, and will threaten to lower ur grade if that is what it takes to make you work harder. gave out so many grades ranged anywhere from c- to b. harsh paper grader!

I took him for Milton. He is a very kind person. Very relaxed atmosphere. It's more like book club than a class. The material can be boring at times, but he really tries to make it interesting. He really wants to give you a good grade, you have to just give him something to work with. Totally on your side.

Great professor, easy going, fair grader. You don't have to show up for class all the time, just read carefully and jot some notes down. Likes to see you improve your writing and provide your own interpretation of the works. You're guaranteed at least an A- if you run your paper ideas by him. I strongly recommend him!

I took a 2 in 1 (still 6 hours a week) course that was composed of transfers. Boyle is funny and smart. He makes many interesting points but lectures way too much. This class is fine for an hour and 15 minutes, but after that point, you want to drill a pencil into your brain. He isn't an easy grader so you better proofread your papers.

Boyle is a good professor but he umms mores than anyone I have ever met in my entire life...He umms apporximately 95-140 times a class...it kind of annoys you when youre trying to take notes you just want to shake him!!
