His notes do not have definitions and class is very difficult because no one can understand him. Study Guides are absolutely atrocious. I expect this from a middle school or high class but college?

I can not understand him which happens sometimes with professors. But his notes aren't clear and that is with using power points. He will not define terms on slides and words are spaced together. So if you don't understand him you are screwed. He also says itself a lot and tests are not multiple choice so good luck.

Look, he is not difficult to understand and the people who complain are likely just mad because they never did the readings and probably failed the class. Honestly, the readings help, but as long as you take clear notes and write down everything he says you will probably do well on the exams. He knows his stuff, and is an awesome guy!

This professor is so unbelieveably hard to understand. The main points I get out of his lecture is him repeating something five times or saying "itself". His writing is hard to read when he does write. His tests are extremely hard to pass unless you've taken a college history course before. You MUST read the syllabus to find out things for class.

I have taken him for both Us History to 1877 and Since 1877. I find him to be a really great teacher, very knowledgable and enthusiastic about material. Tests are difficult and you're expected to know your stuff. Don't miss class, it will pay off in the end. Overall really good class, I would highly recommend for students who like fair teachers.
