He is pretty difficult, but as long as you go to class, pay attention, and study for the tests, it is pretty easy to make an A in this class. He isn't a bad guy at all. If you start asking questions in class, it's easy to get him off topic and have less put on the tests. He puts his slides online too, you should print them out before class.

I fell asleep SOOO many times. He was really boring, but had some interesting stories. There are random "according to the text" questions on the test; you MUST read the book. Go to class, study hard, take down everything he says, read the book, and you should be able to make an A. But dont waste your time with him in my opinon.

I heard awful things about this class, but it's really not that bad. The easiest thing to do is to buy a tape recorder and tape his lectures. Read the key terms in the book as well. Do all this, and you will be fine. He's really interesting to listen to.

This class is SO BORING. However, you must be alert, writing down everything he says, as anything could be on the test. You can pass the tests, but you have to take good notes and read the book. I enjoyed his sarcasm a lot.

This class was one big waste of time, the lectures were nothing but him ranting about unrelated topics and none of your answers are right no matter what. Even if you retained what the lectures were about it wouldnt matter because none of it was on the test, I recomend you stay away from this class

Tenure in this case is a bad idea. Unfortunately the ONLY person who teaches political philosophy, and hes not even effective at teaching. He even tries to justify his rants as pertinant to the topic at hand. SFA Pol. Sci. grads lack this vital aspect to the discipline, try IR, public administration, law, or comparative politics instead.

A nice guy, very passionate about the subject. His lectures are usually clear. The test is half book (M/C) and half lecture (T/F). He posts the outlines of his lectures online. Print them out and take them to class, it's VERY helpful. Don't rely on just them. Tests are online so you can use your book and notes. Class is reasonable but STUDY!

If you read the assigned chapters and take notes in class you'll be fine. The exams are online so you can use your notes, but they are timed, so you kinda have to know what you're looking for.

Very helpful and insightful, but his online quizzes are shady. 2/3rds of each exam is True/False, which are statistically the hardest questions to answer. The course does get easier over time, though, so don't drop it after the first test or two.

RUN...Do NOT take this professor, especially in the summer. Lectures are NOT in accord with the book. 5 Lectures plus 2-3 Chapters a week with exams every Wed. Study is NOT an option. Although, if you like philosophy you may like this class. His lectures are excellent & animated, he provides outlines for lectures, but still must take good notes.
