Comment:
Do not take him. As everyone else has said, he's boring. European history is supposed to be bloody and exciting and he makes it so dry. He knows what he's talking about, gives you outlines that are his lecture notes and test material. You can pass quite easily, but he's a horrible teacher and ignores people with their hand raised for questions.

There is really no need to buy the book because he does not use it. Take good notes and attend class and you will get a good grade. There is a ten page paper on anyone you choose. I do not think that he actually reads them. A little boring and does not express any interest in his students but nonetheless he knows his stuff.

Very boaring class. No need to read the book, just take detailed notes and you'll do fine. Gives 2 quizzes, 2 tests, a 10-12 page paper, and a cumulative final. He makes the paper a bigger deal than is it. Follow the format and you'll get atleast a B+. Very passionate and knowledgeable about history.

Professor Homer AKA Professor Monopoly. In class can be dry sometimes, and is always lecture. He likes to raise his voice really loud when he gets to exciting results of battels and incidents. He has 10 page term paper that may with narrow topic you can get an A. Tests not bad just study to know places and names well.

Having gone in hearing how annoying and a terrible teacher Dr. Homer is, I can say this class was great if you have a passion for history. The tests were so easy for an intersession class and he didn't even read the 1 paper I did, easy A if you take good notes or read the book, no need to do both. He does look like Mr. Magoo!!!

Love Homer...Love Him. Some how he is still alive. Very Vibrant, passionate speaker, and loves entymology. Remember, "throne" (the chair) is spelled t-h-r-o-n-e not t-h-r-o-w-n.

He looks acts and talks like a cross between the monopoly guy and Mr. Magoo. Possibly the most well versed history prof. on campus BUT he can't teach. What you know when you walk in is what you know walking out. Dry and redundant. Caution DO NOT TAKE!!!

I've had this man for two semsters. Avoid him at all costs for all courses. Not only is he psycho, but he also can't teach and doesn't attempt to adapt to students. Don't make my mistake.

He's an awful teacher. He's so boring and repetitive. He grades rather easy and his exams are very easy. If you like boring teachers and teachers who butcher history, then he's your man.
