I had Fred my first semester at Radford(Biol 131)and again for my last semester at Radford(Biol 425). Amazingly nothing changed about this man. His class is difficult, but he is fair. He is more than willing to work with you. He always let's you use a cheat sheet for his test(use the whole thing) and you have to read the book. GO FRED! AWESOME GUY!

Fred... He was very funny and very entertaining.This course was very difficult, but it will be with any professor at RU. READ ALL THE EXPERIMENTS!and write them all down on your cheat sheet! The labs were extraordinary to say the least. Fred makes sure that you learn real, applicable science. The subject matter of the class is broad and there is a lot to learn. Fred makes it a lot easier than it could be through clear examples. He's always available to help outside of class. Fantastic professor, definitely one of Radford's best.

I think Dr. Singer is a good instructor. You are responsible for the entire chapter, study everything even the materials that he doesn't cover. Motivation is key- Study the "inquiry" sections and learn to interpret the graphs and the figures from the book and the extra material that he will give you. He allows cheat sheets for exams and quizes.

Great class. yeah its a lot of reading and more than half of what you learn in class isnt on the tests. all the experiments in the chapters are on the tests. Not a bad teacher, funny. he really keeps class interesting. i recommend him to any bio major.

Very interesting person, but not a great teacher. YOU MUST READ!!! Half of the things on the test were not discussed in class. Speaking of tests, I never knew multiple choice could be that hard. Most of the question have 7-8 answer options, YIKES! You can get by in his class, but I would probably take someone else if I could.

AWFUL CLASS. He thinks he's funny cuz he can tell potty jokes. Wears the same shirt for at least a week straight. Easy to get an A if you read 300 pages a week and sweat for three hours during lab. Quizzes every week, so read. You can bring a page of notes for each test. I got a good grade, but it wasn't worth it. Wish I didn't take him.

Awful. He thinks his class is the only class you take. Easy to get an A, as long as you read the 300 assigned pages a week. And as long as you hike for 3 hours and measure trees every lab. Easy class, NOT WORTH IT.

Had him for comparative animal behavior- read the book!!! if u think true/false and multiple choice are easy think again- his are incredibly hard. Loved having him as a teacher though, he's a great guy and cares about his students, class was always extremely cool! i was NEVER bored, loved it. Take him but know you'll have a lot of work.

Fred is a nice funny guy. You have a quiz every Friday which sucks but it helps with your grade. He drops the two lowest grades. Also on the test he lets you use a full sheet of paper to help you!

I like fred...also had him for 353 comparitve animal behavior(ethology) He DOES help outside of class....very funny guy, but his tests are very HARD...almost deathly but i have found they r pretty doable if you read the chapters....smart guy though
