amazing teacher. makes every class fun and interesting. even if you have no interest in scriptwriting or moviemaking, you will enjoy strype and his class. i wasnt interested in this class, but by the end, it was my goal to write the best script i could. fred is so encouraging, and the class is laid back and fun. TAKE HIM! :)

awesome teacher. gives contstructive critiscm, and is never mean. made me want to write good scripts (when i came into the class not caring). grades you according to your progress. very understanding. take strype for every class you get the chance. you wont be sorry. he is fun, interesting, and you will want to learn!

The only reason why I came to this awful school. Too bad I've only worked with him for 2 years. Working with him and Maggie Bruen is the only way for a student to understand what making movies is all about. He always responds to e=mail, has a broad sense of humor, and is a pleasure to be around.

I took him when I was a sophomore for Basic Filmmaking, then again for Intermediate Filmmaking, and once again this Spring for Scriptwriting. Bottom line: if Strype is teaching a class, it will be incredible. I've learned so much from him, he's helpful and pure perfection. A true professional.
