super hard, the trick is to get the OLD MIDTERMS from a friend because the questions are the same every year, with a little bit of variation. ATTEND ALL TUTORIALS, because they arent for marks, as long as you do the question, you just have to hand it in and show them that you did it. good luck on final, i studied one day and finished with B-. gl hf

Honestly BY far the worst prof ever!! The lecture material does not relate to the exams or the assignments, and his teaching meathods are horrible. AVOID TAKING THIS CLASS!!

Do not buy the textbook, it is useless, as are his posted notes. The course was simple highschool genetics problems, but you never knew what material would be covered in an exam, making it very difficult to study for. Some vital concepts were not covered in class. Do not go to him for help he just launches off on some random tangent

Not good! Extremely hard to follow in lecture. Midterms and assignments are easy, final is IMPOSSIBLE. You never really know what you need to know.

Pretty unclear in his lectures, you really had to dig in the text to find relevant info because he will not tell you where it is in the text book! THis is one of those courses that you just need to be good at the material. Knowing everything from lecture would not even guarantee you a good mark, because he tests your understanding. Crappy prof.

His finals are killer hard, but his lectures aren't so bad. As long as you moderately well on the midterms you should be able to pass the course with a B? Attend every tutorial since they help you out with the midterms. For the final? Can't really say there's anything to do except to be born brilliant (yes they're THAT hard!!)

He's not THAT horrible of a professor. He's a bit ambiguous sometimes and he can be rude to some people who ask him 'dumb' questions. Overall though, he's the best teacher teaching the course (the guest lecturers are HORRIBLE!!!) Biddle's notes are by far the neatest and most cohesive, so learn from there!

Dr Biddle is by far one of the best profs I've had at U of C. His classes are interesting and engaging and he's overall a really funny and nice guy. He will help you for as long as you need whenever you ask to help you get a better grade. Great prof, I don't get all the bad ratings.

Biddle takes the most simple concept and make it difficult. I learned more by googling since he was so confusing. His lectures were painful to get through, however a couple of the guest lecturers (like the genomics guy) weren't much better. Midterms are alright but he kicks your ass on the final.

This was by far the most unpleasant course I have ever taken and all because of the prof. the course material was so interesting but he made all things so complicated. He often says "We will work with you to get an A" and after the first midterm when you go and remind him of that line, he says; umm im sorry i cannot really help you.

Annoying beyond belief. Highly unpleasant. Absolutely NO respect for his students. Horrible. The only bright spot in this course was the guest lectures. Extremely unfair that no class averages were ever revealed. Very unorthodox. It's a pity because the subject matter is fantastic; he spoiled a good thing.

This was a horrible course that was very poorly created, run, with no provisions or concessions made to students. ALl students were jibbed and we'd all like the money back. For students that don't have to take genetics, don't, because this will leave you very bitter for a long time.

This class was by far the worst taught class I have taken in my academic career, and although many professors are responsible for the mess, Biddle is the first one that comes to mind. Stay away from him. Stay away from the BHSc program until they work out the "bugs". Complete and udder waste.

Being in the class was very frustrating. When looking for help, he wouldn't answer it, and just walk around in cycles. He's very unbending, and writes exams that are both poorly worded, and tests obsucre information.
