Comment:

I am a big fan of this human. The personification of impassioned brilliance. I can understand why some would be salty about her political leaning. However, her views are verifiable via data. I am politically independent, but they say liberal folks are the snowflakes? How sway!? Dr. Schmitt is mighty controversial these days. An inspiring human tho.

Comment:

Although she a very nice professor, as someone who has more conservative views in politics I felt as though she was personally attacking my views. Millersville is a very liberal school, but political views/opinions should be left out of lecture. It truly made me uncomfortable to sit in her class and there were times that I almost walked out.

Easily one of the best classes I've taken at Millersville. Dr. Schmitt wants nothing but to see her students succeed and will do everything in her power to help you do so. We had one group project, one paper and two exams. It's an easy class if you show up and participate- the more questions you ask the better off you will be!

Awesome professor! She loves her job and is very willing to help with anything. Although she is very bad at returning emails, so talk to her in class. She is a very tough grader especially with papers however, good at giving constructive criticism to help you improve. Loves to use humor in her lectures. Tests are difficult, so be sure to study.

Comment:

Schmitt is awesome! She actually makes the material interesting and presents it in a way that's accessible and eye-opening. Highly recommend this course with her! One downside is she doesn't focus too specifically on the textbook in class, but the exam is primarily based on the readings from it. Just keep up with the readings and you'll do fine.

Lectures were smart, funny, informative, and engaging. Dr. Schmitt is a strong women and her passion shows in her teaching. If she wasn't teaching she would have been a great detective. If you are a slacker she will see it. Show up, show interest, and you will be fine. It challenges what you think you know and you leave if not better, more informed

Never pass up an opportunity to take a class with Dr. Schmitt. She is a brilliant, amazing professor and a wonderful person as well. Always willing to talk if you come to her office hours. She cares genuinely about all her students and is always willing to help. You won't regret taking something from her.

Funny, kind and helpful. Schmitt is willing to do anything to help her students out. Two tests, an oral report and a paper sums up the work load. There is a lot of reading but not all of it is truly needed, at least I did not need it. Also, signs her emails with "Peace," and that is adorable.

Dr. Schmitt is just amazing. I really enjoyed her class. She's really kind, funny, extremely helpful, and enjoys what she does. I cannot wait to take her, again. She has helped me so much. She cares about students Highly recommend her. Book is not really needed, but get it. You’ll do A LOT better with it. Two exams are straight forward. Take care!

Amazing professor, and probably one of the most loved on campus. Very funny, intelligent, and caring. 2 exams (midterm and final, both entirely comprised of essay questions), 1 group presentation (lasts for the entire class), and 1 paper (due at the end of the semester). She is an amazing professor, my favorite at MU. Her classes are very interesting and she is always willing to listen and help anyone. If you go to class and take good notes her tests are easy. fabulous professor! everyone loves her. uses personal stories that teach you stuff and make class very fun. 2 exams (midterm & final), and a presentation with a group on a book you read. you also write a paper on the book (3 different drafts of it).
