She is nice and will help you, but her class is hard. The tests are on a much higher level than any of the homework and that is really frustrating. Having a final exam and a presentation project during is unfair, but at least her tests are per chapter, not cumulative. She did help me learn the language, but do not underestimate this class.

I loved Professor Rolland-Mills class and I would take her again in a heartbeat. I feel like I learnt so from her class. I found her a bit intimidating at the beginning but soon learned that she is kind, caring, and has a good sense of humour. I would definitely recommend!

Never miss class! Every class we learn something new, so you gotta keep up. Class is very fun, you'll never get bored or fall asleep. Buy the textbook, we used it almost in every class. We have three tests, homework (like fill in the blanks, stuff like that) a lot, and our final is an oral presentation of 5 minutes. We even watched a movie! :)

great professor. very knowledgable and interactive with the students. If you want to pass it's best not to miss any lectures and you have to participate. It's a language class so you will have to speak to get a better grade. The professor is clear and straightforward but funny and easy going since we're all new to the language

I've taken Prof Rolland Mills for a couple of classes. I think she's great. I think some people don't do well in this class because they don't study enough. If you've had any Spanish before this class should be fairly easy, with some studying. If you haven't had Spanish before, you HAVE to study. I've always found Prof Mills to be helpful.

Professor Mills was great! This class was a lot of fun too. You just read stories and discuss what you read in class. She assigns some pop quizzes but she usually hinted before she would drop one in the previous class. She isn't really strict but she has very clear guidelines on what she wants. I would take her again (and I am!)

Great lady! Lectures are clear and she's always there to help you! Tests are easy and she is a fair grader. Plans every class VERY efficiently! Very good at names! I would love to take her again if I get a chance! Learned a lot! :)

She grades her tests so severely that even the most minor spelling or grammar error is one more point off. She told us we would be speaking spanish in class and we are not she lectures in Spanish. Personally I haven't learned anything from her. I have learned to hate this course and her teaching style.

Spanish 1, great class. Very good professor, I felt like I learned more practical things about speaking spanish in one quarter than years in high school. Rolland-Mills is very nice and a good speaker. I love her facial expressions for some reason, lol. There is a LOT of oral group work everyday, which I really learned a lot from. 8AM's rough tho.
