The expression "If you try to everything, you'll end up accomplishing nothing" comes to mind when you think of his class. Tests are curved and projects are graded gently. Lectures are interesing and engaging, too bad that's only half the material, the other half is that awful textbook. You can pass by just taking notes, but an A requires more.

Class does cover too much--a bit ineffective, since we don't get too deep into any one section. Still, great teacher, cares about his students, and his tests weren't all that hard. (they were fair, if nothing else) On one hand, he's strict on attendance, but he's also lenient on tardiness.

Nice person. Tries to cover too much stuff, does the entire textbook, you go though so much material you learn very little. There is too much emphasis on minor details and little focus on concepts. Dont take him early in the morning, he has a REALLY strict attendance policy

Dr. Marquez is an excellent teacher who challenges his students to learn as much as is humanly possible. I will admit his tests always cover too much information but he is no doubt one of the best advertising teachers I've had at Temple.
