He DOES NOT GIVE A's. I got a damned B in this class bc I "didn't put enough effort into this class." Funny though, bc outside work was never required, and NO ONE did outside work. BUT I was n the artbldg. from 8pm-3 to 4am almost 2-3 nights/wk for this class. He ALWAYS finds something new to lower your grade on portfolios.

This class should be called DRAFTING. 3 portfolios: 1.boxes,angles,&convergence 2.fullperspective&linevariation 3.sticks&form/shapeofsticks. He picks his 1-2 favorite ppl and gives them good grades. Plays favorites and says art should be intelligent and not intuitive. I thought art was supposed to be each person's translation of what they see?!

Very interesting man; laid-back. when you ask him about your work, he will tell you whats wrong with it, but when you get your portfolio back, there is something else wrong about it that he never mentioned before; can be frustrating at times, but overall a decent teacher.

very nice and laid back, fairly easy projects if you get the hang of it, but too much into the expressionist/dadaist/abstract forms of art and i felt it hindered those of us who were more traditional artists.

This is a very techincal class that doesn't allow for too much creativity because you're learning all the basics. He grades pretty tough, but you can always ask him for help. He never gets annoyed with you, but make sure you aren't tardy or absent, if you can help it!

Edwards does a good job of demoing the expected drawing techniques before he gives you and assignment and there is no work outside of class. He grades fairly hard and I think most people get C's. I got a low B from extra credit (never absent). I think he picked favorites. Try another professor.

Rigid ideologue who grades according to conformity to Conceptualism & 1960s artspeak. Bans dissenters in BFA & MFA reviews. Assignments are easy from someone who cannot draw but teaches "drawing"; conforming to narrow definitions of "what is art" (Conceptual/Dadaist) determines grade alone.
