It was a challenging class for me at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was alright. He loves the stock market and is a big time conservative, which is definately fine by me. Pay attention to his "keys" and memorize the definitions. 3 tests, all 10 definitions and essays. Huge stock project that is actually a blast, had a lot of fun doing it

Large projected due towards the end but it is really easy "A". Test questions are from articles and 2 books. Liars Poker book is a great read! His lectures are repetitive and pointless. I am obsessed with the stock market so it is natural to me but I got an "A-" without even trying. Just read the definitions out of the book, that is all on tes

I loved him! He loves the stock market and his enthusiasm was contagious. Some people treated the class like a blow off. They were the only ones complaining at the end of the semester. It was so refreshing to hear a conservative point of view coming from the front of the room for a change! I would take him again!

I hated Economics but Mr Gardner made it easy to understand. Make sure you study everything, cause he gives you everything you need. Pay close attention to his "pointers" and you will get an A.

Very interesting man, although lectures had nothing to do with the exams. Graded on 3 exams and 1 paper all equally weighted. Paper is very easy. Exams can be difficult, but he provides a good review of what will be covered. Focus on textbook review. I am taking him again this coming semester.

The teacher is o.k. and the material is easy, but be warned he assigns a lot of work! You will be required to read three 250+ page books, learn 23 textbook chapters, do an investment/research project (10-20 pages), and memorize 18 testable articles (Barron’s, WSG, etc.).

TERRIBLE!!! What does reading "1984", "America's 30 Year War", "Liars Poker", and "Tyranny of Good Intentions"(all in 1 semester) + 1,000s of articles have to do with Fin. Mgt.?? NOTHING!! IF U WANT TO REALLY LEARN SOMETHING..DON'T TAKE HIM!!! You don't even get to see your test after...he grades by looks too! Also teaches at Central accelerated p

Difficult to get an A in his class - you have to get a high A on every exam in order to pull it off. No extra credit. Paper graded easy. Alot of extra reading required. Boring lectures - required attendance. Wish I had taken someone else.

I agree with a previous comment as to why this professor is still employed! I can't stand his lectures - drink lots of caffine, or you'll fall asleep. I gained very little knowledge from his courses - avoid at all costs!

I have had professor gardner three times now. I love his classes because he's a good guy. Yeah he has stories that you hear in all the classes, but he keeps your attention, or mine as least. I would take him for everything he teachers. If you take one class, you've had them all. He uses the same books in all of his classes.
