Comment:

I enjoyed this class and learned a lot about the Fed and monetary policy through the readings and assignments. Dr. Moore is an enthusiastic, fair, and caring professor. Pitfalls: Not a timely grader and a bit ideological (he's open about his biases, so don't be afraid to challenge him sometimes. He's okay with it). Highly engaging class overall.

Comment:

If you ask too many questions then he'll start mocking you in front of the class, he expects you to know everything. The class was hard as is, and his attitude did not encourage me to want to be in his class or have the motivation to learn. Professor Moore was very unethical.

FIN 403 Online. 2 Exams, 2 Quizzes, 1 Paper make up Grade - Discussion Questions Extra Credit. Exams Multiple choice/Essays easy, problems were tough Allows you to contest questions you get wrong Managed an A but it wasnt easy! Lectures are a mixture of his own and another professor, wasnt a fan. Worth taking, enjoyed this teacher overall.

FIN 419 Online. Really enjoyed this class, great history review. 5 quizzes and 2 research papers (you choose topics) make up grade. Quiz questions come mostly from lectures, a few oddball questions I didnt care for, overall easy. Allows you to challenge answers. Professor is helpful, lectures on point. Put in the time and youll get a good grade.

Excellent personality, made audit interesting for an 'accounting' major. Loves to discuss realtime experiences. Classes are almost four hour long but lectures are well explained. Dr. Moore's exams are based on his discussions but quizzes are tough. He provides ample amount of extra credit activities during the semester.

Really enjoyed this class. Professor Moore is great at outlining what to expect as an auditor and although the lectures are long they are full of anecdotes to keep things interesting. Exams are tough but he is very liberal to give out extra points especially when the question could have been misinterpreted. Great class - I would highly recommend.

He is not passionate about what he does. You have to teach yourself, he does very little when it comes to explaining chapters and expects you to know everything for the exam. Waste of time and money taking this professsor

John does not let you review your exams, I do not understand the logic behind that. Whatever grade you get, students have to just accept their grade and take his word for it. You will get no feedback on your exams.

What he did on the final exam was wrong. He should have given students a heads up on what to cover as well as why the final exam was delayed a week later. I had zero interaction with this professor, no feedback what so ever. seems like he's a different when you take him online.

Deliberately sabotaged student's grades on his final exam. If you want to learn, go with a younger professor. Cost $1200 for an ONLINE class and that's how we get treated.

Took him online, you don't have to do anything. The professor him self doesn't do anything, most of his posts are outdated. He has an instructor discussion board that he does not respond to at all. The easiest A you'll ever receive, it's a bull class . with that said, enjoy and good luck!!

Dr. Moore is very passionate about what he teaches. He is a extremely qualified and capable instructor. He's pretty funny as well. You have to attend class to pass and I would say it wasn't too difficult of a finance class (which means it's a lot harder than your typical gen. ed. college class). I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Moore is one of the smartest people I have ever met. He wants you to understand the material, so he goes out of his way to cater to students. He loves to talk. I highly recommend taking Auditing with Professor Moore, over Professor Black or Professor Crane.

Best professor at Walsh. Enjoys teaching and it shows. You will work for your grade, but you will walk out having learned something. Absolutely take him if possible. I also took FIN415 with him, and then took this because he was teaching it.

Lots of reading and historical information. I took this online and replayed the lectures several times while taking notes to help retain info. Open book open notes - so take good notes as you're watching online lectures. Pick a research topic that interests you to make it more interesting. Overall, good course. Opened my eyes. Would recommend.
