He is an average professor at best. Not very warm when you need something outside class. There was a project at the end that was very unclear. Sometimes he gives a study guide for exams, sometimes he does not. When he does not it is clear that students do not do well. If you're interested in the subject, then take it. Otherwise steer clear.

If you can avoid it, do not take him. He states obscure things in lecture that might be on the exam, but most of it is straight out of the Learn Smart practice questions. Study with those, do the homework, and get his help on the projects (if you need it) and you should be fine. He isn't the best professor, and it took a lot of effort for an A.

Short answer: Don't take him. Long answer: Awful professor if you actually want to learn to content. Doesn't even teach, uses videos and echos what they say. Very unorganized class. Expected to study 50-70 essay answer questions and only needing to answer 10-15 of them for the exams, making it difficult to know what to actually study. Good luck. :)

Keep in mind that this review is for CIS 4358, senior level Network Administration. Disgustingly incompetent in everything he tries. Shows videos of crap we are already looking at. Doesn't understand his subject matter whatsoever, and exams are short answer and based on buzzwords rather than the real answer and fluff around the buzzwords.

What a joke. Reads off ppts, repeats stories which take up a lot of classtime. Doesnt cover things and expects you to somehow magically figure out on the exam. Dont bother

BY FAR the worst professor I've taken in College. I strongly recommend you do everything in your power to avoid getting him as your professor. Please trust me, you will regret it. He makes it very difficult to pass and his questions on the test are NOT RELATED TO WHAT HE TEACHES. DONT TAKE HIM.

I was skeptical about this guy class after reading the reviews but I end up taking his classes anyway and let me tell you this, his class is ridiculously easy. You shouldn't have any problem getting an B or A as long as you show up and do what he tells you to do and also he grades super easy too so that help. He's not that bad honestly. Take him.

This is the most uninteresting class I've ever had, with the most uninteresting way to be taught. I would never recommend anyone to take him. When I started not going to class and just teaching myself from the book, I got closest to passing a test. Yeah, I still haven't passed one. Bottom line: Don't take this class with this professor. I hate it.

Attendance not mandatory, tells you whats on test, homeworks are easy, super BORING lecture. He's also very, very rude! Went to his office for questions and was annoyed that I was there. Couldn't even figure out how to help me, didnt seem like he wanted to. Made Bs on tests w/o the book just going off notes/powerpoints. Went to every class

Go to class, write down what he tells you to. Then read the chapters and know what's in the book. It's super easy content. If computers confuse you, don't take him. If you just go off notes for exams you will fail. I made all A's in this class by using the book & notes to study. He does tell lots of stories, class is boring. not the best teacher.

Rude, unapproachable, confusing, & useless. I'm quite embarrassed that McCoy his him as a professor, if you want honesty. Assignments are incredibly hard and his tests have super tricky questions. I'm sure he thrives on failing grades, anything to make him feel superior. Take someone else if you have a choice.

You will hear multiple times about his accomplishments bc he brings them up each chance he gets. He's pretty rude and NOT approachable. Its not hard to do well in this course, read the book and look at the diagrams on ppts for the exam. I made an A, thanks to the book.

VERY rude & defensive personality, but mostly, does not teach! Merely goes over slides, & states, remember this & that, along with 'old stories'. I studied hard & did decent on the two part 60-90 question exams. Yet, I was still disgusted solely by this professor?s approach & personality in attempting to teach the course. Highly recommend taking an

His tests came across as made to trick you. Tells you something is on the essay part like this long OSI model chart and its not on there. I have a degree and 9+ yrs IT experience & I could not manage an A. The tests are MC & he abbreviates answers w/abbrv not industry standard abbrv(s)also not in the book, leaving you guessing what they stand for.

Can we please get some decent CIS professors. Tells the same stories over and over. Mentioned if you are an A student you will probably get a B. Brags on himself a ton, "he has more certifications on his business card then initials in his name". Read the book, don't count on his reviews. Lectures are useless just read the book. Horrible Experience.
