Comment:

Brother Booth is not only passionate about biology but about life. He cares about things that really matter and wants you to succeed. I had him for freshman year biology....a GE that I wasn't too excited about. But I loved it, Go to class, ask for help, and use your TA. Tests are hard and he expects you to read. Totally doable. I love this guy.

Took him back in 1994 for Biology. Is smart and creative. Very kind. Has great stories. Spent 3 months with him in Western Samoa in Sauniatu on a Study Abroad. Now that was crazy tough classes, yet an awesome experience. Dr. Booth, you rock!!

He is a great person with a wonderful testimony but I have yet to take a test more awfully designed in my time as a student. The expectations are vague but the required knowledge for the tests is very specific and unreasonably extensive.

Dr. Booth is passionate & cares about each of his students. He focuses on learning, not just grades. There are not many assignments & he offers extra credit (even though he says he doesn't). If you come to every class, ask questions, & read the syllabus you'll do well. You will not regret taking his class and getting to know such a wonderful man.

One of my least favorite classes of the semester. Dr. Booth allows almost no discussion and is constantly lecturing at you. The tests are difficult and the TA was not very helpful. At one point Dr. Booth said that he took the midterm himself, without the answer key, and got an 80% on it

I loved loved loved Bro. Booth! He was super engaging and I looked forward to every class. Some people thought the tests were hard but I studied in groups and the test was really really easy. He really knew the material and I learned so much about the Book of Mormon.

You will definitely learn much from taking Dr. Booth. His lectures are interesting and he is super knowledgeable and passionate about Biology. He goes way in depth with the topics, and the exams can be pretty tough. Go to review sessions & seriously study the handbook & you'll be Ok. Exams are all multiple choice, and there's extra credit offered.

I loved Professor Booth as a person, but I did not like him at all as a teacher. His tests were incredibly difficult, even with the 100 question study guides given. He gives out a few easy one page papers here and there, but the tests will kill you. Great guy with a great testimony, but not worth the pain!

Dr. Booth is an amazing man and teacher. If you are smart you should take a class from him and also make an effort to get to know him. It will benefit you more than you would imagine. You simply have to study the material and notes that you take in class and you will do well. He wants you to do well, chooses great TA's, and is fair. Take it!

Dr. Booth is both intelligent and insightful. He's extremely kind and always willing to help. This class a breeze but only if your willing to work hard and do lots of memorization. I enjoyed the class so much that i was actually sad when the class ended!

Very lecture-based class. Really enjoyed it. Lots of helpful homework, but very little is required. Dr. Booth is excellent. He clearly LOVES biology, but not in a cheesy way. He's an excellent teacher and gives great practical advice for biology and life in general. I highly recommend him for lecture learners, but it depends a lot on your TA.

I loved Brother Booth. He gets so excited about the Book of Mormon. Super cool old guy :) His tests were in class and we could look up one answer and ask a classmate for one. He's not teaching religion anymore. He was great!

At first, I LOVED Prof. Booth. He is hilarious and has an insane passion for this subject. However, he began to go off on more tangents by the end of the semester. He made us memorize random information he is obsessed with that doesn't pertain to much in real life. His tests are pretty tough but manageable.

Dr. Booth is one of my favorite teachers here at BYU yes he is a little quirky and weird but he is very interesting and very approach able!! If you don't find your getting what you want out of his class, go and talk to him and he is more then willing to help you! Hes awesome!
