Great professor (had him for honors gen psych). Read the textbook before lecture, it'll have you more than prepared for the clicker quizzes. Study his notes and the textbook for the exams and you'll be fine.

Overall, he is a good guy and he is very knowledge about the subject and likes to expand upon the information. The class is very easy going and work is straight forward, but it is very easy to fall asleep in class because on how he introduces the material and his monotone voice. Due to this grades suffer, but then he has to give a large curve.

Professor Brill is a nice guy. His lectures are pretty good but sometimes boring and long to sit through. I was in an Honors section of his Gen Psych class, and it was pretty small, but it was just him lecturing at us. He uses iClicker questions throughout the class, but he does drop the lowest 2 grades, so it shouldn't destroy your grade.

Great professor, interesting class (I was in the Honors section). Definitely must read the textbook, and there are two short online papers that you can redo as much as you want - make sure you get a perfect score on those. If you put in a little effort, its a pretty easy A

This professor helps with students a lot. Very nice and easy going, willing to connect with students. However, he always indirectly expects you to follow his reasoning and adopt his beliefs, even though he might not outright say to. He seems to think his beliefs are widely held. Overall good professor, but aggravating personality.

Prof Brill is a very thorough and serious professor, so he expects you to know your stuff. He doesn't curve, and he uses clickers in every class. But you will walk away having learned a lot about psychology and neuroscience in general. The textbook is your best friend in this course. He seems like the best option for people willing to work hard.

Awesome course. I learned a lot, but was not overwhelmed. His lectures can be boring, especially if you are sleepy, but he posts his slides online. You have to read the textbook, and the readings can get long and tedious. He is an amazing professor and is super understanding . His exams are a bit confusing, but not impossible. Would recommend.

Took the online class as a freshman. I didn't know what to expect but I was surprised at how straight forward his exams are. Take your time to read the book and everything will be easy from there, you might not even have to study much because you'll retain the information. Do the study guides and read and you can get an A. There's also a nice curve

If you read the booK before lecture they extremely clear. Also read the book along with the notes on Sakai. His exams are very clear and easy only if you have read the book and filled out his study guide. Did not take him online.

Overall great professor. Definitely willing to help you when you need it. Lectures can be a bit boring, but he tries to work in videos that help a bit. Clicker questions are pretty easy and beneficial (30%) of you grade. Just go to class and you get max point for those. Exams are tough but he curves at the end.

Gary brill is an awesome professor in comparison to other psych professors. As long as you do the readings before each lecture, pay attention in lecture, and do the study guide questions and study them very well, you will be in a good shape for the class. The study guide is a bit long but he gives it to the students several weeks before the exam

His online course is extremely hard. The weekly homework assignment questions are pretty tough and require that you read slowly and think about the material for a fair amount of time. Huge curve since the midterm average was a 64. If you aren't prepared to do a lot of reading and keep up with work definitely don't take this class!

Clearly intelligent and knowledgeable, he's a wonderful professor and a great guy. I had him for honors gen psych, and the class was 30 students instead of hundreds. VERY WORTH IT. Honors section is an easy A if you put in the effort (take notes, read the book). He's pretty friendly and approachable. I'd definitely take another class with him!

If I could really tell a student not to take someone, I WOULD REALLY ADVISE NO ONE TO TAKE HIM. I am no psychology genius but there is only 2 exams (midterm and final) and they are EXTREMELY hard. Attendance is mandatory because your clicker scores depend on it, but in order to do well on the clicker questions, you have to read. Don't take

Homework is mandatory, long reading is required but generally you can get 90%ish on them (pretty tough, be careful). Otherwise, just do study guide the day before and show up to the exam. You will likely finish it in 10 mins. Incredibly easy professor and responds quickly online. I don't know how you can fail this class.

Comment:
This professor's ratings are extremely misleading. His exams are very difficult. He does provide a study guide, but the study guide is useless because there is an excessive amount of questions (over 200 for a 60 question exam) and majority of the questions f not all do not appear on the exam. He is not helpful. Take the course with someone else.

I'm fully convinced that all of his positive ratings on here are completely fake or posted my himself. He refused to accommodate students with learning disabilities, was unnecessarily rude and unhelpful when asked for help and blamed all of his personal mistakes on technology. He assigns clicker questions for every class are ridiculously specific.
