Anyone that says Chanan is not clear is obviously bitter. Have you not taken any other professors that teach physics at UCI? He is by far the clearest, organized, physics professor I have ever had. Notes are very organized and writes everything down. Hands down amazing professor, with funny demonstrations. Highly recommended, and a very fair prof.

Interesting teacher with fun demonstrations in class. He derives alot of equations and uses calc, which isn't used on tests. to get an A like I did, I would do the webassign and the recommended book problems

He is not as easy as students made him out to be. Very unorganized and he writes on the chalkboard which is hard to follow since he skips from board to board. He doesn't really explain things too well and expects you to know it.

HE TEACHES WITH NO NOTES! He walks in, starts teaching. His explanations are amazingly clear. Take him. Tests are very hard, but he really prepares you well. Book rules as well. Chanan = the man. I kid you not, best physics professor I had so far.

Probably the most intelligent professor I have had so far. Brilliant lecturer; it's amazing to see someone lecture without notes. He remembers EVERY proof; even his examples come out perfectly. Tests were fair and doable if you do your homework. I would love to take another class with him. One note, I found him a bit intimidating at times.
