GC is an awesome prof. This class is difficult because it's grammar, but he does a good job of explaining things. He's pretty good at noticing if we don't understand the material, so he'll re-explain to make it easier. He does have a tendency to go off on tangents sometimes, but we've never had to skip topics because of it.

GC is one of my favorite English professors. He is so knowledgeable about his field and is pretty good at explaining things. 221 was really lecture heavy, but if you pay attention and take decent notes, you'll do fine. I still remember stuff from this course just because he was so passionate about the way he taught it. He's a solid professor.

Dr. Gary Grieve-Carlson, aka G-C is a legend. He made me love writing. By far the best English professor I have ever had. I was the student who was lucky to pull a B+ in some high school English classes. I am pulling an A in his. He makes you work for it, but he is my favorite professor so far. Amazing guy!

Dr. Grieve-Carlson is the man. I swear this guy can make anything sound interesting. I personally have never like Shakespeare, but there's something about the way he discusses the material that really helps us students get engaged in class. GC is very helpful with writing papers and I would say that he is pretty fair when it comes to grading.

I took his class for GenEd but I would definitely take him again! His class has a relaxing atmosphere, I enjoyed being there. He's very knowledgable and seems to like what he does. The text could be boring at times, but class lectures are bearable. I'd definitely recommend him.

I don't understand what people like about this guy! He favors English majors and talks in circles... literally he draws his notes in circles on the board as he lectures. If you're an English major take him, if not run!

Another one of LVC's finest liberals (not). Constantly complaining, whining, and identifying the problems with Republicanism, but never offers a decent solution. Big surprise.
