Not a clear grader. Class isn't too hard but she makes it hard through her unclear and vague instructions. It's almost as if she will allow some slack for those who do the bare minimum but detracts for those who do a ton of work but get caught up on a single (small) technicality. Do not recommend.

There were a lot of papers but most 2-3 page double spaced. Stickler on APA formatting. Provided feedback when requested. No quizzes or tests! Discussion posts required but relatively easy to answer without a lot of esearch. Group project at end. Tough getting started but suggest someone taking lead early & assign tasks. Used online book

Easy class, thanks to the subject material and a non-demanding professor. You've essentially seen the whole course by the end of week 2; after that, you're just rehashing everything over and over. She's not a tough grader and she didn't mind me writing on my own opinions.

If you don't answer with terminology from the course or you don't answer direct on questions you will receive a bad grade. This class is heavily weighed. I wouldn't recommend this class unless you want to spend hours making sure you didn't miss anything or the point. She isn't helpful.

All summed up by prior students I completely disagree with the majority of comments posted thus far regarding professor Beach. Her assignments are lengthy, the class is disorganized, and her grading structure is extremely unclear because she arbitrarily adds additional project requirements which differ from her original project descriptions.

Prof. Beach was awesome. Very clear in what she wanted and the layout of the class. Graded appropriately and according to her rubrics. I would definitely recommend!

Professor Beach is very helpful and provides great feedback and responds quickly. Not a super easy grader, but not a difficult one either. You will get the grade you deserve. Has a project that covers the semester and involves several written papers and a powerpoint. Not unmanageable because the assignments are broken down and covered week by week.

This class is so confusing. It took me about two weeks to get my barrings. If you plan on taking an on-line class with her be prepared to decode her syllabus and case study assignments. Everything is graded on a rubric scale. Also be prepared to take quizzes which are totally unrelated to the book and there was no information on-line.

Professor Beach is an absolutely amazing online instructor. Conference expectations and all assignments are clear, and as long as you complete the readings, participate in conferences, and do your assignments, you will do well. Professor Beach is very responsive to questions, extremely helpful, and very fair!

Ethics in the Information Age was a required course, but Prof. Beach kept it interesting. The textbook was a bit outdated, but relevant. The assignments allowed me to apply the principles to real-life situations. I would recommend Prof. Beach

Professor Beach is an excellent instructor. She knows how to teach an online course. She is hard on her grading but gives you useful feed back to improve. Would recommend her for any course in IFSM!
