Class is very interesting. Not particularly difficult, but he notices if you just try to breeze through without any effort. Just attend classes, show genuine interest, and perform the assigned projects, and you'll do fine.

I got an A in this class but I would have to say Ihas did not help 1 bit. In physics, you HAVE to teach yourselves. The main key for tests is to do the hw in the back of the book and do 3 practice exams before every test. Ihas is funny but he doesn't teach. They put the formulas on the board but don't explain how to do problems-tests r all problems

Tends to ramble on about un-related stuff but when he does teach, he is very helpful. Pray that you get a good TA who gives fair quizzes because it is 20% of your grade.

do well on the discussion questions. we were really unlucky coz they changed the testing chapter and all this semester...also, for some reason decided to make everything harder like it wasn't hard enough already. did well on the practice exams and was shocked at especially the final tht had nothing to do with NETHING we learned. ridiculous.

Very fair. Brings it down to a level that students can understand. GO TO CLASS! Clicker points make a huge difference! Exam questions come from old exams and problems in the middle of the chapters. Key to success is a good cheat sheet and doing well on discussion quizzes.

I personally didn't benefit from his teaching style but then again the subject material was completely new to me not to mention hard. I had to study a lot outside of class because the lectures didn't help to much. He is very nice and will answer any question you have at any time.

I loved Dr. Ihas. He was very funny and would always come up and talk to the students before class started. Very helpful if you need it - and just a great guy. I just suck in physics!

Ihas might make a few stupid mistakes in lecture sometimes, but he definitely keeps it entertaining! Exams are not hard if you put enough time into working book problems and old exams. Definitely take Physics with him if you can. Physics is a difficult subject but Ihas brings it down to a level thats easy for all students to understand.

People can be so mean, Dr. Ihas was an awesome teacher! His lectures were always entertaining, and clicker questions reward you for going to class. Dressed like Einstein for Halloween. I went to him for help a few times and I liked his teaching methods. Get help early for this class if you need it, from your TA or a tutor.

Class is an absolute waste of time, and the only reason they do clicker quizzes is everyday is to keep everyone from skipping the lecture's the whole semester. There's a real simple way to get an A in this class- go to class(as painful as it will be), get your clicker points, due all your homework, and do problems from the book until ur confident

I've already completed several semesters of physics, but I went with my girlfreind to her class when this guy was teaching and he is clueless. He did more than one problem incorrectly, and it was more than just math errors. He was making conceptual errors and also made poorly worded questions which the other teacher had to correct. He's useless.

Really nice guy- in his office hours he asked about my major and such- is genuinely interested in his students. His lectures were simplistic, but he was entertaining. He shared teaching time w/ Biswas whose lectures had more substance so they balanced each other out well. Responsive to students- offered extra credit and adjusted the grading scale.

One of the best teachers that I've had at UF! He's so much fun and makes a lot of jokes in class (he dressed up as Einstein for Halloween--complete with the moustache). Likes to talk to students and genuinely wants them to learn. Highly recommended!

Often gives incorrect formulas on the board and makes lots of mistakes in general. Other than that, his class is easier and students do better than in other classes (even when tests are exactly the same).
