This professor does not teach you anything you need to know about accounting . You need to teach Yourself all of the course material, The homework assignments have nearly nothing to do with what he lectures about in class. all you do is use the clicker and play multiple choice all class.

Comment:

Professor Shader is a great individual. However, if you are not an accounting major do not expect to understand what's going on. He would just talk and talk and majority of the class had no idea what was going on. Good thing is the homework assignments and test are online and it's pretty simple to figure it out online. Self taught class.

His lectures are decent, but fairly difficult to understand. It is probable that you will get lost at some point, but it is possible (and necessary) to teach yourself the material. All of the work is online so it is not too difficult to get a good grade as long as you do all of it well. He is a funny guy as well.

If you an Accounting major you will probably understand what he is talking about. He just lectures to a wall. You have to teach yourself everything because the only thing he does is put definitions of words onto a PowerPoint. He makes you buy connect and a clicker app to respond to the questions. He is the worst professor I had all 3 years.

If I was you I would pick another teacher. He talks ALOT. You will lose focus after the first 10mins. He doesnt give notes, but does some type of presentation with a clicker. Expects you to know the material BEFORE you even register for the class. He doesnt really llike writing on the board to much so its all on you basically.

He's a really nice professor. He drills the material into your head pretty good. You don't have to buy the book, just the connect plus. That's where all your homework, extra credit and tests are. He's really easy. Lectures the entire class time tho, usually without break. I got a B+ there's a lot of work but it's not difficult.

Prof. Schader is completely unreasonable. He lectures to the wall and doesn't care if any one is paying attention to his lecture, nor does he care about the students progress. If his assigned homework software has a glitch - consider it your fault. He won't move a finger to help.

Used clicker, felt like a game show. Very understanding and drills important topics into your head. Calculations are hard since its Taxes II. Gives big tax return problem, fun to see how everything comes together on the forms. Definitely take him.

Absolutely the worst professor!!! Beware of the good post, misleading. Uses useless examples and always curving tests because class averages is always terrible. You basically have to teach yourself and cheat on the exams (which everyone is doing) in order to pass. His grading system is very wierd as well

I took him twice, for Intermediate I and Tax II. Prof Schader is wonderful, he is open to helping students who also help themselves and he is knowledgeable and maintains his own private accounting practice. Take his classes if you WANT to learn and will put in the EFFORT to learn your major.If ur not an acct major dont take him, ull be lost.

Despite all those who complain about his teaching method using the clicker, he's a pretty good professor to sit in with. He's confusing at times, but it prompts you to pay attention so you can choose the correct answer with the clicker. Very resourceful, very helpful, and very responsive. If you need him, he'll help you. Great professor. Take him!

wooo where do I start with this class? Well for one thing is the clicker. I hate that clicker. I'm pretty sure that in my own personal hell that there are evil clowns made of clickers .But I digress, much like he often does in his lectures. Amazing professor! -- gives excellent/interesting lectures (w/ clicker!), answers any questions you might have, and the tests are passable. YOU have to READ the material, LISTEN to his lectures and DO the homework. With that, an A is definitely something you'll be awarded. The negative raters obviously didn't do the above: They FAILED. HA!

i loved him too! he tries to do everything possible to give you a good grade, but has to see some effort on your part. reading the chapter and doing the hw BEFORE class definitely helps. hw is easy to get 100s on because it goes along exactly with the book, and with his curves i had over 100 on every exam. very good professor overall.
