Dr. Tucker is able to make a topic that is really dry and hard to understand like theory, exciting and understandable! He is also EXTREMELY smart and knows everything about everything. I've always found that he was extremely helpful and ready to answer any questions or even meet individually to help you get through the work.

He does not teach linearly. He will start one topic, continue to the next and then jump back to the first. He forgot to teach us some elements that the textbook did not address that were part of an assignment. He changed the due date for assignments frequently but would not create a firm due date. Overall ineffective as a professor.

Fantastic professor. Always willing to help students out if they needed it, and was ready to talk for hours if he had to. I wouldn't have made it through without him as a professor. From his witty comments in class to his help outside of class time, I would be completely alright with him teaching all of my classes.

Gave some wrong information and very picky about some things which were not particularly important,asked us to use a ruler when completing homework assignments. Did not encourage questions. He is very good at music history though, I just would never take another music theory class with him.

very nerdy, but very intelligent. He often rambles, but always leaves all the condensed information you need on moodle. The physics of music section of the course was brutal though... barely anyone could stay awake in class that whole week. sometimes boring in lecture, but overall good teacher.

He knows his stuff, but was rather disorganized with aural skills. He didn't teach the material he had planned to teach and would forget about singing tests until the day before, and then cancel them. I enjoyed this class. Tough final exam!
