the most horrible prof i've had thus far at ubc. "notes" are confusing and unorganized, half the time we don't even know what section we're on (i doubt he knows, either). his quizzes are far too frequent, his midterms are long with way too many long-answer q's... there is nothing right with dr. h's class!

I decided to major in Math after taking both 104 and 105 with him! He was very helpful whenever I had questions. His tests tend to be more difficult compared to other professors', but if you study hard, you'll get an A! He teaches more than just the textbook materials. If you plan to do further studies in Math, stay in his classes!! Dr. H rocks!!

You're doing fine so far Dr. Haussmann! The last quiz was of a decent difficulty. 2 tips would be to be very minute on detail, as well as writing larger because I'm sure that the back row cannot see some of the notes. Past comments do not reflect on your teaching entirety as of yet.

The worst prof ever! I'm just happy that I passed the course. He is also the actuarial advisor and I tried asking him questions - he's so useless that I have to somehow figure everything out by myself!

What a horrible prof. He is devoid of any sort of personality, his notes are absolutely useless, and he gives weekly quizzes. His exams have material on it that he explicitly said he wouldn't put on it. Save yourself the misery and get out of his class.

Horrible prof. Notes did not help at all. Some examples were straight from the textbook. His classes are so dull and boring that it's impossible not to fall asleep. The main reason I go to class is because of the quiz every Thursday. Also doesn't answer questions properly.

Get ready to do all the studying yourself....it's not like going to lectures is gonna help. I just went to his lectures once a week on the day of the weekly quizzes (which btw were super hard). The class average was around 45% (although there is scaling up on a course-wide basis)
