Good Professor, Keeps interesting discussions, but an hour and a half can start too lag. The lectures always start off interesting and then dozes off. All the online HW sucks because he never goes over them and goes off in tangents. Final sucks

Class is easy, prof is not. Read the book & you'll be in good shape for the 1st & 2nd midterm. The final needs more clarity so go to those lectures and disc. Random in class quizzes: go to class. Watch out for topics that are not in the text: he'll test on them. (future prices, present value calc)

Prof Walton is a good guy, but not a good professor. The expectations across the two midterms and the final were completely inconsistent. Lecture was pretty random and VERY boring and not helpful. A lot of times simple concepts were became more unclear to me after going to lecture.

He is pretty good as far as Econ professors go, but if you hate going to class like me, watch out for his random in-class quizzes. On the plus side, though, his exams are very easy if you know your stuff.

Really really boring, expensive book, he doesn't care about teaching, he just stands there and talks about numbers, but overall very nice guy. The TA is a hard grader, and his reviews before the midterm don't help at all

Aite, this guy wrote the book and it costs $100. There are never any used in the bookstore (I wonder why). He could care less about the class- he doesn't even write the midterms. The TA Tak is the hardest grader ever! This is basically a history class with some econ words. boring as hell, pop quizze

Lectures are boring, but gives occasional pop quizzes so you have to go and sit through the class. Tests are hard too. He's a nice guy, just that he doesn't teach the subject particularly well.

Was a little suprised by the first midterm- this guy is such a renaissance man, and his lectures are very engaging, which is suprising for ECN 1a. Definitely clear, and has lots of interesting examples to help you understand. Definitely recommend him.

Makes econ history fun...well almost. He's very clear in lecture, and he wrote the book, so there aren't any surprises on tests. He likes pop quizzes, so come to lecture. My advice for this class: try and think like he thinks. If you do you'll get an A.

One of the best professors I've had at UCD- the material is very clear, and he did a good job making Econ (which can be very dull) more interesting. Highly recomend.

The Good: He kept my attention and was very clear. The tests had no surprises. The Bad: He tends to make things so clear it's hard, so class can get boring. If you read you'll do well.

Not the best teacher, makes u want to sleep during his lectures. the TA's are by far the worst TA's EVER!!! they are no help at all, make sure you have someone that knows the material and will be there to help you.
