Tests are almost 100% based off of homework and quizzes. His teaching style wasn't great, and involved a lot of theoretical examples that could get confusing, but he was a pretty lenient grader. Not an easy class, but Calculus isn't supposed to be easy.

Comment:

Professor Goodson is a great guy. His quizzes are very easy, just look over examples and homework problems. Tests are like quizzes. He is not very exciting teaching, hard to pay attention for so long. Attendance not mandatory. Very approachable for extra help. Good class and good professor for calculus 1.

Comment:

One of the smartest people let alone teachers that I've ever met. It's obvious from the first day that he is passionate and knowledgeable about mathematics. The only problem, and this is more the course than him, is it's a lot of lengthy definitions and theorems that can make lectures a pain. But he grades lenient and is incredibly helpful.

He's an amazing professor. I wish I could take him for all my math classes. He was very helpful and very patient. Made me actually enjoy math, worth the 9am.

I took a different professor last semester and had to withdraw because he was such a terrible teacher. Goodson is SO much better I have a definite A now. Do the homework and study them for quizzes and tests and you''l do well.

Attendance is not mandatory. Copy notes and look over them from examples. Tests and quizzes are just like the homework so just do them and try to understand them. Tutor center was very helpful to this class in explaining! They helped me with my hw really the only way I passed!

First off Calculus is a hard class. with that being said Dr. Goodson is the best calculus teacher at Towson. he tends to teach more conceptually then providing a ton of examples but he explains the concepts fairly well. if you do homework and do well on quizs you will be fine on the test. willing to help during office hours

Graded on hw(10), quizzes(8), labs(10), test(3), final(1). Master hw and you will do well on quizzes and tests due to the fact that he does an exceptional job filtering down the material. Collaborate with others to finish labs or ask him questions about it day bfr submitting. Chill Prof. Book not necessary just focus on lectures n hws.

I would highly recommend Professor Goodson. Calc is a tough subject no matter who you take it with but Goodson is very understanding and approachable. Willing to help you and wants to see his students do well. If you are struggling talk to him, he's willing to work with you if he sees you putting forth effort!

Nice man. Extremely boring (monotone). Assigns easy HWs and Quizzes. Tests aren't bad but he's not the easiest grader. I dropped because I'm a tard in math and I have to retake but he's not a bad teacher

He's a very nice guy. He loves what he teaches. The only bad thing is that he sometimes messes up on examples (like dropping a negative or something). He gives some extra credit and some half credit if your solution isn't perfect. So he's a better grader than most. The only bad thing about 463 is that the book sucks, only used for hw, though

awesome teacher, best ive had at towson. his notes are pretty useful except sometimes he adds pointless stuff but always goes step by step with examples. Labs were dumb but he basically did all of mine. id definitly take again. i got a 96 in the class with little effort

Teaches straight from the book. Can be very boring. Writes down useless notes, but just pay attention to the example problems and you'll be fine. Very nice gentleman and he grades fairly easy. Homework and quizzes are easy grades mostly, but tests can be a bit harder. Overall rather good. Don't think I'd take him again, but would suggest him

great teacher! definitly best teacher ive had at towson. Tests are always curved regardless and are very fair. The labs are stupid but if you ask him to help you, he'll basically do it for you. If you dont like math you might get bored. He is always available for help and very flexible. I highly recommend taking this class. I got a 96% in it.

Awesome accent. Goes through things kind of fast, but will help if you ask. Tests are very straightforward. Can't ask for a better prof. for Calculus.
