While George's knowledge of the material is excellent, his classes seem like something out of a different century -- he stands and lectures rapidly, with no real interaction with students and no real connections to applied research or practice. He can also come off as demeaning, insulting, and arrogant. Not recommended at all.

He's alright. He was too fast for me and his test are really hard. I wouldnt take him if math is a hard subject for you. but then again i guess he's the best they got seeing all math teachers here suck.

This man does not care if students learn or pass. He presents high-level lectures that have no relevance to the assignments. His ruberic grading scale for the final did not make sense. One quarter of the class didn't bother to show up for the final because they knew there was no chance to pass. Those who did show up were ripped to shreds.

Dr. Marcoulides is an excellent teacher. One of the better ISDS 361A professor that makes a hard subject easier to understand. Just like majority of the professor, homework and in class assignment seems easy, but there are some twist and thinking beyond the homework problems on the exam. Allows cheat sheet + 25pt extra credit. I recommend him!

Great Professor! ISDS is a hard and boring subject, but he knows how to breakdown Statistics so you can understand it. If you want to get a good grade, just SHOW UP and Take notes. Notes are avaiable for the test. I never used my book once and i got a B. If you do not understand something just ask and he will answer it. TAKE HIM!!!

Hard not to fall asleep in class. You can tell he is always in a hurry to leave class because maybe he just wants to go publish another book. Doesn't seem to care about students. However, you can have as many notes as you want for the tests and you can always use your calculator. Be prepared to teach yourself about statistics.

Lectures are very straight forward and well structured. His test are hard!! The examples he gives in class are highly simplified compared to the ones on his test. It will throw you off a little. I recommended to do all the problems in the book.

Great professor! 4 tests (100pts), 25pts E.C. Tests require some studying. Difficult subject, but he makes it as straightforward as possible. Very smart/funny guy. Uses clear examples to illustrate concepts. Highly recommended!

he's a very nice professor & also a smart guy!only 4 test (100 points each) & 25 points extra credit (as long as u do it, he'll give u full points).i got a C on the 1st exam, a D on the 2nd exam, an F on the 3rd exam, and a D on the final, & i did both extra credit & pass w/ a C.the extra credit really helped me to pass.do take him!!

Great teacher that really knows how to explain the subject in a way that will make it easy to understand. Attend all classes and you don't really have to even buy a book. He gives out only practice problems and some extra credit.

The best professor that I have taken at CSUF. Great guy, knows his stuff, and is very "pro student" so is willing to work with you to help you learn and pass. Makes a hard subject easy. I can't say better things about Prof. Marcoulides.

If you ever get the chance to take ANY class he teaches take it! This guy is awesome! He explains every concept so anybody can understand. I am repeating this course from Spring 05 (Sihota) and turned an F into almost an A!!! Highly Recommended! P.S. For brownie points, brush up on your knowledge of Greek Soccer ;)

He's the best teacher in ISDS. He explains the concept very clearly and makes the subject easy to understand. There's 4 exams and final (4th exam)is not culmulative. Extra credit (around 6.25% of total grade) is given out to students. Take him , do not take any one else.

Just love his class. His lectures are GREAT, convey everything on tests. Tests are fair, straight forward, no tricks. 4 exams, 25 Xtra credits. Very very knowledgeable, funny, pleasant and helpful. He is every students' dream professor. You'll learn so much from him about statistic. Highly recommend him. Just love his class! He's GREAT!
