One of the best professors at OU! Took Bio Physics 3250 with him and would take again in a heart beat. Clear organization and grading criteria. Very smart and is helpful/respectful to students questions. Workload is fair given it is an upper level physics course. Homework and exams are given with reasonable time. I'd definitel recommend him as prof

Dr. Roth, honestly one of the few Professors that cares about his students. Amazing how his lectures are given in very clear and simple way more than the book. I've taken him for Biophysics, and medical physics. I can simplify this profs by saying Inspirational, great, helpful, and knowledgeable. Study well you'll be in good shape. Tip: He curves!

Great professor. Clear about what you need to know, approachable, always available to help, fair grader, cares about his students. You must go to lecture; he does chalkboard notes, some of which are not in the book but are on his exams. Exams are very challenging. Take notes, read the book, do his practice exams, and you'll do fine. Recommend!

Personable, he learns your names. For being difficult material, he explains it well. Very forgiving on tests and understanding on the challenging HW. I miss due to sports and come in late almost every day and he doesnt mind. Board notes are always clear for me to catch up to him. I recommend if you are interested in the physics of your body.

Excellent lectures - you'll want to come to class. Passes out a little note to everybody at the end of each lecture asking what needs clarification and what could've been different in the lecture. Very friendly and approachable. Does not make things easy, however. You'll have to work hard to do well.

Terrible prof! Awful communication skills. He likes what he does but can't teach. He is confusing and unorganized. Wrote his own book for the class, completely worthless. There are no examples given in the text or in class. I've never had to use so many reference books for a class in my life. Nice guy, but I would never take him again.

Glad I took him in the summer. I think I got a 3.2 higher than the 2.3 in Lindenmann's class. Multiple choice tests weren't bad. Because it was summer a lot of the organs were cut out of the syallabus, even better. Watch if you are going to transfer you have to take a specific lab for this class to transfer, look at that schools equiv. website.

As long as you come to class and turn in all the homework, this class is easy and can even be interesting- and I usually hate science. I would recommend him if you want to take earth science.

He is a great teacher. He made the class as interesting as it can be for a physics/geology class. I learned a lot and did not ever feel overwhelmed. This was a great class and I definately recommend this instructor if you must take this class.

This class is boring, which most would expect, but Roth is a really nice guy and tries his hardest to make it fun with videos and online homework which is fairly interesting and simple. Tests are mult. choice, so if u take notes and read youll be fine!

Not very interested in the subject (he admitted this in the first day) and it shows. Does not have a great knowledge of the information. Easy tests and quizzes. All HW in on line, so it sometimes does not work right.

Seemed pretty out there at first. Very nice and very funny and interesting. Helpful (if you actually ask questions!). Easy (but interesting) homework, and good tests that cover the material well (All multiple choice, take about 20 min). READ THE BOOK!

This guy is great. He is easy to listen to, and his tests arent that hard. He isnt trying to trick anyone. Homework is a breeze, and class is even interesting. For someone who hated science I loved his class. He really cares.
