Had Dr. Prans in 1980s. Got the second highest grade in the class a C+(Highest grade was a B) but I learned a lot and eventually went to a big name graduate school and got an MSEE. He's a great teacher but very strict. A fellow student was marked down on a test and showed Prans that the textbook agreed. Dr. Prans said "The world is sloppy"no credit

Simply, the homework used to take me hours of my time to the point i had less than an hour of sleep. But it all pays off-- my average was above 100. its hard bc of the workload and a pain, but if you pay attention and get the flow of vba, its not as hard as people make it seem. his quizes are 10x easier than his hwks btw. He helps too so its notbad

unless you wanna work your ass off just to pass engs116, don't take it. all your friends will be gettin easy A's and you'll be the one spending hours and hours on each hw. However, if you want to be a VBA expert take him, he only cares about programming nothing else. Terrible teacher but helps everyone and always in his office

guys a genius but hes a terrible teacher, worst handwriting i've ever seen and mumbles his lecture. its impossible to learn anything in his class you have to read the textbook, only way to pass. he's very helpful if you ask him one on one he just can't teach a class.

I have to concur...this guy is absolutely off his rockers...gone bonkers. Firstly, he carries a wall clock around. He also drinks water from a beaker, and he wears his belt to the side...not to mention attempting to contact the pop-quiz goddess. He also wears wacky ties! However, when you need help he will make himself available. Great professor!

Electrical Systems. What can I say about Prans. One of the weirdest guys I've ever met. And I took him at 8 in the morning. He goes very fast when he teaches, but he's always available for extra help. Tests weren't too bad. He's just weird. You have to take him to find out.

Not only is he a good teacher, but his classes are pretty entertaining too. When I was a freshman, I had some trouble following his lectures and weirdness. Once you hit your junior year though, you'll realize he's one of the better (and funnier) teachers in the department.
