Average md term grade was 60. He is not clear at all about what s expected when asked to share a perfect score example, he never did! my group worked on the project for over 30 hours or more and only received a 75 after he said it was very good. WOW! He's retiring so the world is a better place but my GPA is not!

He drones ON AND ON and the class is SO BORING. He teaches straight from Powerpoints. His assignments are vague and graded harshly, and he is no help. Emails go completely ignored. He posts discussion assignments with no due dates then closes them on a whim, so if you don't get a comment in early, you'll lose points on your final grade.

So unclear about expectations that it is a shot in the dark. If 100% of the unclear expectations are not satisfied harsh grading can be expected. Online lectures disappear. Makes recording while students are attending, those same students are talking on mics overriding his lecture so you cannot even hear what he is saying.

Prof. Rice Teaches out of his experience and does this well. As far as a analyst which is what he is hoping you will become he knows and has the skills that pay his bills. Make an effort to think like an analyst and you will fly through this and have mad skills yo!

Presents experience in lectures, but is so vague with what he expects for assignments and papers that you are guaranteed to fail. Tries to be helpful but you will get more help from fellow students. Avoid if you can but he is the only teacher for TSM 630 and 680. Will fail you for missing one small assignment. Had to take class twice.

GREAT, knowledgeable, high experience, I found out after 4 years in CIS that the best professors in CIS are very strict. He knows deeply who's trying and who's playing. ;)

Filled in for half of CSC 101. Said "Tim Burners-Lee invented the internet" called it the "Wide world Web" and doesn't know that </html> has a forward slash in it; NOT a backslash. Test was ridiculously ambiguous... our true teacher put a 9pt curve on it. Also, his rhetorical questions during class are annoying. HORRIBLE teacher AVOID at all costs

Took online. Very difficult. Spent 90 hours on group project, however it didn't appear that he graded on correctness, but on if all parts of project were addressed - got an A on project but I know stuff was far from correct. Assignments nit-picky on points...follow to the letter of assignments. Does absolutely no instruction - book and book ppt

This is definitely the hardest course in the TSM program. Rice expects you to already be a system analyst before entering his class. The semester project takes a long time to complete and the grade is based on all team members' work. Rice is boring to listen to except when saying catch phrases such as "Modzilla" and answering his own questions.

Wow! The hardest class I have ever taken in my entire life. Mr. Rice makes it difficult to know what to expect. The semester project in this course is ungodly hard, and extremely indepth. The workload for an online student is in the 10-18 hour per week range, so be prepared. He expcets that all students are planning on being systems analysts.

Class was a tough one. The assignments were vague, but like real world of a boss just giving you a project and telling you to run with it. Moderatley helpful, and pretty much a jerk. But was fair in grading. Told me I'd be lucky to get a low C in the class and I almost pulled out an A. Just stay ahead of the projects and you should be ok.

Worst teacher ever. He doesn't teach, he takes forever to grade stuff, his lectures and tests are awful. Homework assignments are unreasonable and understanding what he wants is a guessing game. Unfortunately, he is the only one that teaches 304. I've had him 3 times due to necessity. I wouldn't have taken him at all if that wasn't the case.

Ridiculously hard class. It feels like it's a 600 Graduate class. Rice barely explains things, he expects us all to be systems analysts, despite the fact that 90% of the students are TSM. Unfortunately, you need this class if you're a TSM major. Tests are freaking hard. Overall the class and teacher suck ass! Stay Away!
