I studied for hours for his tests and made the same grade on almost all of them (a "C") Gryski is funny, but I fell asleep in his class many times, most of what he talks about is pretty irrelevant. I was a poli sci major and changed to business after taking this boring boring class.

Comment:

Great class. Notes are on the overhead, so not hard at all. Gives extra credit assignments that are easy, and 1 bonus point attendance. My friends didn't take notes, and they did fine. I didn't have to worry about this class, which made me love this class. He's really funny and personable. Take his class!!!

Love the class. Love Dr. Gryski. I will admit, he does ramble a bit, but everything is relevant. Tests are a bit difficult if you don't study, but if you really look over your stuff you should be just fine. Fun guy in class and knows how to teach students outside of political science majors. I would highly suggest taking his class.

Not too bad. He tends to ramble on about irrelevant topics quite a bit, so class can be somewhat boring. Get the University Notes and definitely do the extra credit assignments as they will be a good grade booster.

This is how I got an A in here - bought the university notes, went to class the day before the exam (he gives a lot of the answers), and defined the bold terms in the book and on the study guide. That's it. I went to class maybe 5 times the whole semester. He also gives extra credit worth half a grade. The class is kind of a joke.

so boring and very random when he is teaching...difficult to follow him. Will not see you and tells his TA's to do it all. They are total jerks and will not help a bit as they all try to show their power as a TA. Take another class, many do terible in his class.

Definitely the most pointless class I've ever taken. Take my advice: don't buy the book (use wikipedia), and don't go to class except on test days. Thats all I did and made an A. Super Easy.

He knows the material but he has a tendency (as said below) to ramble. He makes good points in his rambling though. Go to class, copy the overheads, and realize that what he said could be interesting but probably wont be on the test. If you like politics, you will find the rambling entertaining. If you dont, his class will be dullsville.

I really HATE this class! He never makes any sense and just rambles. I have to play games on facebook just to stay awake! He tells you what to study on his notes (which are extremely vague) but then half of the test material he never even talked about! I dont reccomend him at all!!!

This class is the worst! My friend and I have to play tic-tac-toe just to stay awake. He goes off on rants that HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MATERIAL. Tests are ok, but I really don't recommend him.

He just rambles in class but this class in an easy A. If you define the terms he sends you before each test on the study guide and know what he literally tells you out of his notes will be on there you can get an A. You don't have to go to class as long as you get the note from someone and go the class before the test

Gryski is a funny guy. He really does just ramble in class, but it is a lot easier if you just go because the book isn't the same as his notes. All I really did was go to class & I got an A. It was super easy, and sometimes his stories were really entertaining.

UGH I couldn't stand this class! He rambles the entire class period, so going to class always felt like a waste of time. If you can get the notes from someone else, you might not need to go to class. I never did after the first test and still got an A. His tests are super easy... just study the notes and do the study guide!

I hate this man, but the class is very easy. I suggest you go to class, write down the projected notes, and then bring something to do. His "lectures" are very hard to follow, so don't... you won't be tested on it. Know the emailed study guides backwards and forwards. And the class before the test- he'll tell you what you do and don't need to know.

Cool guy, but kind of random. Hard to follow his train of thought sometimes. He's a smart guy but he tries to expand the realm of the class a little too much. Always email your TA first, because he doesn't respond to emails that aren't forwarded to him by his TA's. Easy class if you go, but the book doesn't help much. Unotes are much more helpful.

My favorite professor at Auburn! He keeps class interesting by being extremely animated and he has a great sense of humor! We had 3rd hour on Mondays where we met in the computer lab with our GTA's, but that wasn't so bad, depending on you GTA. TAKE HIM!!!
