Lots of reading to do, don't fall behind. Super cute and nice old man, he will definitely make sure you succeed in not only his class but in life too. Review your notes time from time and it's an Easy A. I wish I gave his class a full effort, could've gotten an A. By the way, the roll sheet goes around everyday, and he'll know if you were missing!

There are books to read for you to extract and input into assigned essays which he is very merciful if you make your points across as well as knowing how to apply the book material. Padilla is personal, engaging, humorous, caring, and seems to be well-respected by students in the past and present for them to visit or speak for his class.

5 essays, not hard topics. Mainly your perspective. Many books. Super funny and sweet. Some quizzes so pay attention and take notes, don't over think.

Professor Padilla is a very nice and smart man but he cannot teach a class. He disrespects our outside lives by not telling us on the syllabus when all these papers and tests will be. He talks nonstop about everything but what we need to know for the test and then springs a test on you the next day. Such easy material, very mediocre teacher.

Professor Padilla was awesome!!! He made coming to class everyday fun. He likes to joke around and be funny which made the class go by fast. As long as you read the books and study for the tests this class is an easy A. Highly recommend!

I took him for Ethics 101 & 160. I would recommend him to anyone :)He's definitely a character and has a way of making any subject he teaches to be interesting. He's also very involved on campus and offers extra credit to those who help him with events. You can tell he loves his job and helping students grow. "Si Se Puede! - Padilla"

Took him over the summer and I really enjoyed it. Yes, he goes off topic and does speak Spanish to say jokes but if you don't let it bother you you'll be fine. Several books to read and a paper to write on it. Sounds difficult but very easy considering I hate writing essays. There were field trips that were nice to go to places we've never been.

His Hist275 class is easy if you pay attention and put in the work for the assignments he gives. I genuinely loved him as a person and a professor. 10/10 WILL take again!!!!

I recently came across the final paper I wrote for this class. The paper was dated May 27, 1986. Most of the paper was written strictly from lecture notes. I am now working on my Master's degree at a college in Florida, and Mr. Padilla's American History class continues to be my all-time favorite class! So glad to see he is still teaching!

I took History of Native Americans with Professor Padilla over the summer, it was very fast paced class but I expected that for a summer course. He does talk quite a bit, but his stories are interesting and relatable to class. His tests are very straight forward; don't skip class, pay attention, take good notes and you will do well.

One of the top 10 professors at Fullerton, hands down. Genuinely loved going to his classes, they're full of so much information about CA. Once you are accustomed to his lecturing style, it's easy to pick up the important info. Seriously recommend him!! Great guy, very caring and kind to students. Tests are simple, it's only stuff he lectures on.

Mr. Padilla has a good reputation with students. he's chill and likes to give us life advice. His lectures are super confusing though, i cant tell if what he is saying is part of the lecture or one of his many stories. he talks alot. there is no structure in the class. i honestly didnt like his style of teaching.

Honestly, he's a really inspirational teacher, and he does a great job at teaching a subject that most people are not interested in learning. He's really interested in getting to know each and every student. The class is a very easy A if you just show up everyday, and show him you're willing to participate.

Padilla is a Chicano studies icon at FJC. He tells it how it is and often can go on tangents in class. There are 2 mandatory saturday field trips but the class ends before the end of the semester. He keeps you until the end of class. He shows quite a few videos and expects you to participate in class. The books are essential, they are easy to read.

One of the first teachers I had in college. He makes lectures interesting and he's very funny. The more you participate the more you get out of the class. He is very straight forward with grading and has different extra credit opportunities. He builds relationships with his students. Don't need a textbook but you do need to buy individual books.

Look, If you come to class and draw out anything he puts on the board you will pass the tests. Take pictures of the boards and go back and review them by drawing / writing out the notes from the board. He explains this in the beginning of the semester. And read the book - you will learn more about Native Americans that way. It's about the stories.
