One of the funniest people Ive ever met! I would recommend him to both theater majors and non-majors. I dont think hes as tough of a grader as other people say. He expects you to do the work for his class, but his workload isnt overwhelming. His only downside is that hes not super organized, but that never really affected class time or grading

Gino is a really hard grader. He does not give good feedback and though he is funny a real drawback is the grades. If he wasnt so irresponsible and unhelpful with grading then hed be a great professor, my favorite even. Cmon Gino quit it

I have taken 6 classes with Gino and he is amazing professor. He is interesting, intriguing and always thought-provoking. He knows how to be personal with his students, and the key to not only enjoying his classes but also succeeding is to be personal with him. As everyone else said, write papers/relate plays to your personal life.

Comment:

Always prepared, interesting lectures, grades harshly because he's a writer and expects a lot. For essays, incorporate a personal, analytical style, NOT a basic informative, safe style. I wish that when students make comments he would respond more to them and turn their comments into discussion instead of disregarding them.

Comment:

I had Gino for Modern Drama, and his class is extremely interesting. He has great insight into the world of plays, and is very passionate about them. He gets you exciting about playwrights and their lives. THe only downside is he is a pretty tough grader. I've yet to get anything above a B- on a paper, which can be frustrating.Overall, great class!

I have taken 5 classes with Gino and can say he is very overrated. Everyone loves him and thinks he's great but he says the same stuff over and over again and has rarely given me any advice I would consider useful. He never really pays attention to what you say and is one of the worst acting teacher I have ever had. He inspires me to slack off.
