Frau Moffit was one of the greatest teachers I have had for a foreign language. My German improved so much over the 06-07 school year. It's sad that she's retiring after this semester. I learned a lot from her classes.

How is it that you can get an A- in a class and feel like you didn't learn anything? She's a nice person, but not a good college professor. Glad she's retiring ;)

The class moves pretty quick and you have to keep up, but Moffit makes it fun and enjoyable. She is very creative and it's obvious she loves what she is doing. It can be a tough, difficult class, but if you keep up with the work and participate in class you will be fine. You really have to keep up with all the material or you will fall behind.

Turned out to be my favorite class. New some German ahead of time though so im sure that helped. She is very creative, interactive and playful. Loves to sing and be silly. Gets engaged and involved. Wonderful little lady! Wish all my teachers were as funny and charismatic as her!

German 201 is tough. She expects you to know everything that you learned in 101 and 102 perfectly. She will review and help but she dosn't explain them in great depth. She loves to sing and play games. She is a good teacher and helpful. Pretty stubborn though about late assignments and stammtisch

Frau Moffit is one of the most caring professors I've come across here at CMU. If you are willing to learn and put forth sufficient effort, you will do well in her classes. She is always available and willing to help students if they seek it. I highly recommend this professor for anyone serious about learning German.

Plays favorites (isn't that a against ethics). Seems concerned that students learn German but won't suggest help or assist students beyond going over work. No tutoring in place for higher level German and that puts students at a disadvantage. Not many choices for German staff---if you want a good variety, seek a bigger university...

Frau Moffit is a great teacher. It is not a blow-off class. There is a ton of homework, but if you are willing to finish your homework, do the extra credit, and at least give some effort in class; she will reward you for it.

Frau Moffit expects a lot from her students . . . which she should. WE're in college. If you have a passion for a langauge and are willing to work hard, learn vocab, speak, and sing, you will do fine. I strongly recommend her classes. I look forward to her class in the fall. She doesn't pick favorites . . that's just a load of Scheisse!

The class isn't too bad, but has an amazing ammount of homework. Expect to spend a lot of time outside class working on it. Frau Moffit is helpful and overall a good prof, but does play favorites. However, it doesn't seem to affect grades (coming from a non-favorite).

Her class is very hard and if you are not that familiar with German even though you took it in high school you might want to consider starting of from the beginning, and you might have a chance to become one of favorite students which can handy for obvious reasons

Dr. Moffit is the worst professor I have ever had at CMU. She plays favorites like no other. She is extremely rude, and is one of the hardest teachers I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE HER. She is ridiculously hard, and does not care about her students at all.

Ahhh, the evil things I want to say. She's disrespectful and plays favorites like no professor ever has before. She's condescending and don't expect any actual teaching in class because you're on your own. She laughs at her students when they don't know something and all we learned was DDR history.

She does't care about her students and seems to think that her class is the only you are taking . So, don' ever become really sick, because she'll still expect you to be there. It is a sinn in her book to show up for class or to turn in homework late. If you do expect to be on her sh-t list!

I've had her 4 times and she is wonderful! She made me the German student that I am today. I can't wait to take her again next fall. Everyone who is currently in her class should feel priviledged to have her. She's like my sweet, German grandmother.

yes she has favorites and I sure wasnt one of them. You need to kiss a-- to do well, and you might have to sing 2nd grade songs. She loves teaching and she is willing to help. Compared to the rest of GER dpt at least she is bearable.
