Can drone a bit, but is a decent lecturer. Knows his stuff and his slides are nice and clear. I like his in-class discussions; he'll definitely let you know if you're on the right/wrong track and why.

Van der Kraak is awesome. Will shut you down if you get a question wrong in class, but encourages others when they're on the right track. Exam questions are extremely fair. Great prof, makes it easy to understand the material.

I beg to differ with whoever said he's "easy on the eyes"...he always got mad at the overhead projector and was patronizing. He created an overall tense atmosphere, but he explained things very well.
