Comment:

Very simple math class to take if you don't like the class very much. Glen makes fairly complex ideas simple, and the only tests are his "problem sets" which you can work on in class with a partner. Always lets you out early. Decent Gen Ed.

Best math prof! Took math inquiry and he made it so interesting and is always willing to help students without directly giving away the answers. I was usually the last person in the room finishing problem sets and he was always helpful and never made me feel stupid. Really great dude. Don't skip class though, you won't understand what's going on.

TAKE GLENN ACREE!!!! This class is so easy and he is a very nice, chill man who is great at explaining math and he lets you take group tests!! Also, he usually lets class out early. 10/10 would highly recommend! side note: I have used my textbook probably 3 times.

Extraordinarily easy math class. If you don't like math/struggle with it, go out of your way to take Acree. It is impossible not to get an A. No homework and no tests. He lectures on very theoretical type math, basic problem solving. Then you work in groups in class on a short problem set about the topic and he answers questions if needed. No final

Dr. Acree is a legend. Easy grader but inspirational professor. Not many grades and NO TESTS. Even through tough times in his personal life he kept the class interesting (as math can be) and always was accessible to students. The class was easy but nice if you don't have much interest in math. Must take professor.

By far the easiest class I've ever taken. We had about 3 or 4 worksheets the entire semester and no tests or quizzes. He's really good at making things easy to understand. He always gives more than enough time to complete the assignments and is a VERY easy grader. If you want to be challenged, this isn't the class for you.

If you aren't great at math, Glenn's the teacher for you. He is veryyy thorough in his examples and really helps you to understand the concepts. I'm decent at math (it's fine, not my passion) and found the class to be boring, but I could definitely see why he is a fantastic teacher. He is caring and has knowledge and experience in his field.

Ah Glenn. What a guy. He is an awesome guy and clearly cares a lot about his students. He said on the first day of class that he wasn't going to give us any quizzes/tests and he never did. We only had a couple worksheets here and there. It was an easy A but the lectures can be quite boring.

I usually hate math, however Dr. Acree was the best math teacher I've ever had. He always made sure all of his students understood the material before moving on to the next section. He was very clear on what was going to be on the tests and he's not a harsh grader. He always let class out early and never gave homework. FYI don't buy the book!!

Dr. Acree was an incredible instructor. He really knows how to gauge the class to see if everyone understands the material, and he also can tell when its time to stop for the day and let class out early. Math Inquiry will definitely test your thinking limits, but all in all I am glad I took his class and I would recommend him to any person ever.

I love Glen. I had him for my first year seminar class, and it was super awesome. Cool discussions and books. We wrote a lot of responses to books and movies and what not, but that's about it. Pretty easy class, but engaging as well.

This class sucks just because it's a gened requirement and is SOOO pointless, however, most classes did a lot more than ours! Acree understood we were overwhelmed from other classes and definitely took it easy. Super nice guy, always replies to emails, not judgemental, and good seminar topic! Reading is boring, but better than work!

I took Acree for FYS, it was his first time doing so. He really makes the class participate, and if you don't he doesn't pry, just moves on. The books we read really made me think and I enjoyed them all, even the boring ones. He moves at the speed of the class. By far my favorite teacher this semester.

Took his Math Inquiry class, it was both a fun subject and a breeze of a class. He's pretty great about explaining things if you just ask him to take the time to do so. All the tests were take-home group project style, never made much less than a hundred on anything. Highly recommend.

Great teacher. You can really tell he loves the subject. The material is kind of challenging, but there are no tests. All problem sets that you can work on with anyone outside of class. Fairly easy A as long as you work hard on the problem sets.

Mr.Acree is a Great teacher!! I would definitely take his class again. He makes the content clear and is available to help with any homework assignments! no tests. most of the homework you can work with other students so it's not difficult. Had MW's for 1hr 15min classes. Class was let out at least 15 minutes early every time we met, attendance not taken. Assignments easy, no homework ever, tests were always take-home "problem sets" where group work was encouraged. Goes out of his way to help everyone understand. Best professor EVER.
