Comment:

His lectures are very unclear- super clear and slow on easy stuff, runs out of time and flies through hard stuff. Would draw structures and promptly erase/change while you try to take notes. Tests and quizzes are very detailed. Quizzes are open note but the notes don't help. The final was material I had never seen before. Curves nicely though.

Comment:

Hes a really nice guy, and invested in students. Its Biochem, so its tough. He knows his stuff, but is a bit on the disorganized side and often lectures rapidly. I wish he wouldn't erase the molecules while lecturing. The tests and quizzes are tough but there are other chance to succeed, and he curves the course, so you can still do quite well.

Glenn is an alright professor. My biggest reservation with his teaching methods is that he is incredibly unclear in terms of feedback on papers, tests, assignments, etc. He's not a consistent grader, and he hardly ever provides reasonings for point deductions. Says he counts writing and grammar, but doesn't enforce it. Not a bad core class.

Teaches plants, which isnt so exciting but the biochemistry part of it is fun. He is very fair and if you put in the time and effort you will do well. Very helpful as well.

He was a great professor, the best one I ever had for a science course. His lecturing is clear and concise. Everything you need to know for exams in given in lectures so go to class! Class consisted of 3 exams, a final, and some HW assignments. Lab was great too, just keep your lab notebook up to date. There was a final group research paper.

It was an easy class as long as you did all the work. Reading the books wasn't necessary and eventually he put all the class notes online. The final was 4 questions with only 1 blue book and computer paper cheat sheet back and front. Good class to take for natural science

Professor Glenn Saur is a great lecturer. He does teach plants and they are not that interesting. However, his exams are reasonable if you attempt to find some time to study everyday. His exams are also a little challenging.

Had him for lecture.. it could get kind of boring, but he was very clear. The exams were pretty difficult, but completely manageable. He was very concise... nothing on the exams was unexpected. Go to him for help he really cares about the success of his students.

Absolutely brilliant. Nice guy. Knows what he is talking about and explains the material pretty well. Some of the stuff he teaches is pretty boring, but you'll get through it if you study. Goes a little fast but always stops and goes back if you ask him. Tests are fairly straight forward if you study. Gets flustered when the projector breaks..lol.

Class was easy. Two essays, two quizzes. I got 2 A-'s on the essays, calculated that even if I got a 50 on the final I would get a B+.... I got a B. I contacted him twice to see if it could be fixed and he never responded.

Very tough class but a great guy. Amazing at teaching and getting you to understand things that seem impossible to understand. Labs with him are great and he will help you out whenever you need it. Gives you the final essay question so you aren't totally clueless. Made me actually like biochem b/c he was so into it and you can he really loves what he does.

He knows his stuff very well, and is a very good teacher. Makes things very clear to you that the book may have been confusing on. Even though lectures are not manditory, people who go tend to do better in the class. Very nice guy, if you have the option, take a class with him.

very nice guy, talked to me when i was stuggling and yea the tests are hard. but its bio, what do you expect. i have him for lab too and he is very smart and just a nice guy. better than KUBASIC for CHEMISTRY who goes out of his way to S*** on you

Taught the subject very well, and basically if you can follow the slide you can get a good grade in the class. I learned a lot from him, and it made me want to be a bio major more.
