I have very mixed feelings about Gordon. He's not a bad teacher, but he is very opinionated. I did well in his class but found it a bit disturbing that he reserved a few of our class marks to be awarded if he "liked us". If he didn't we got 0 and if he did we got 3.... Maybe not the most professional way to mark.

Gordon is AWESOME. The best english teacher I have ever had. Finally someone who was able to help me understand and appreciate poetry. He has a passion for teaching that shows in all his lectures, is always willing to help you out and will award good grades for hard work. He can help you appreciate literature and english on a whole new level.

He's an interesting guy who loves to ramble on about past experiences. Has his own opinions and ways of doing things, follow his lead if you want a good mark. Don't even try to read his writing or comments on papers...it's completely illegible!

An excellent teacher, as long as you are willing to put effort into the course. He expects a lot, but you get out of the class what you put into it. There was a lot of work to do, but I have learned A LOT from him. Don't be afraid to take his class, he has a lot of useful info to pass on!

Great guy, super nice and very willing to help when its asked for. The class is hard if you have no background in the material even though it says you don't need it. I found the expectations quite a jump from 100 level to 200 level, and although I like the prof, I disliked the class.

Fun, down to earth, opinionated, demanding. If you can string a sentence together, you'll do well in his class. He doesn't have to agree with your views, but if you butcher your grammar/ spelling, he won't be impressed. I highly recommend- one of my favourite English profs so far (out of 5 already)
