Comment:
Dr. Fraser's class for the most part was alright, very lecture heavy and can definitely get boring. His class was very routine, same thing every time so you knew what to expect. A word of advice, participate and you will get a higher mark. Pretty hard marker and there were a lot of papers throughout the year.

I took Graham Fraser in my first year at university. I think he was tough on first years. I am someone with serve anxiety and he didnt seem to understand or help out. For the most part, he was okay. But towards the end he would give me attitude and roll his eyes at me. Even mock me sometimes. A very good teacher, not a good person

Amazing!!!! He just makes you want to learn more and more and more. He has an awesome sense of humour and you can tell he loves English. Very passionate about it. His assignments make you think beyond what is in front of you. Great recommendations on other books! He convinced me to love modern literature

Really fun and engaging professor! I love taking his classes, he is super interesting to listen to and doesn't make you feel like an idiot for not understanding something. If you don't attend class you won't do good because he doesn't use Moodle at all which sucks majorly, and he randomly gives out assignments that you'll get in class.

He is one of those teachers that actually cares about his students. He even made homemade cookies for our last class. He doesn't have a mid term, and for the exam he gives a great review so you are always prepared. He makes the driest subjects interesting. Great professor!

Explains things so well. He made books from the 1800s seem like they were written today. Best prof I have had yet. Excellent guy, hiliarious and understanding too.

My absolute favorite prof. Into what he teaches and even makes works you would find boring exciting. Show up to all classes and pay attention. His exams are fair and his grading is fair as well. He knows how much effort you put into your papers. Also get to know him on a personal level, talk about paper topics and James Joyce and you will be fine

Quite simply one of the best teachers I have had. His teaching style really encourage students to explore their own ideas. Participation is key here as their is no exam in upper level courses. I have written some of my best papers for him, because the class fosters a deep engagement with the texts. Not an easy credit, but very worthwhile

Absolutely loooove this professor. I went into this course knowing nothing on the topic and came out with an great understanding and appreciation for the literature we touched on. The only reason I'm taking one of the courses I chose in the Fall is because he is the professor.

Great Prof. Don't listen to anyone who says hes a bad prof...especially someone who's only taken his 1st year course. I'm an english major and have taken most eng. prof's and they all are disgustingly hard. Take fraser and you'll love it. ps: talk a lot in class 'cause it will boost your mark like crazy!

I am a straight A student but I got Cs in the essays. His grading was completely unfair and arbitrary. I researched the topics thoroughly so I knew that I had the right ideas. I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere if you like English. You won't get any satisfaction here. He doesn't realize how much damage he has done to students' future goals.

Fantastic professor! I have taken three or four of his classes throughout my years at the Mount because every other prof seems boring and stale compared to Dr. Fraser. You can see how much he loves his job which is very comforting. He makes it easy to participate in his classes. He also does reading responses that help a lot with your grade!

He is a good prof and is great for helping students with papers. If you're a first yr. student without much university writing experience you might want to avoid him. If his honours and higher level english classes write bad papers and he has to mark yours after look out-he can get annoyed & angry!
