Comment:
Graduated in '09, had 1 class with Professor Gal and enjoyed learning from him. He knew his subject 100% You had to listen and pay attention, just like in real life and especially in business. It took effort but was so worth it. Certainly one of the top 5 professors I ever had.

Completely disorganised in every way possible. Does not explain anything in class clearly and sometimes doesn't explain at all but still gives it on homeworks. Rude and not helping at all. Homeworks have to be checked on calendar because they are not ordered right on blackboard. Avoid his class by all means possible.

I hate to pile on, but Gal was one of the worst professors I had at Umass. His lectures are vague and confusing and his grading criteria are "unclear" at best. The only way I passed this class was attempting to get assignments from other students.

Not a good professor. You're given lots of assignments but no reference points to complete them (textbook doesn't help whatsoever), grading was entirely confusing, tests/quizzes have nothing to do with the hws, participation is a random grade because he mostly lectures in class, just overall a bad class and full of confusing busy work

Absolute WORST educator I've encountered in my life. I had a 3.85 before this class and expect to get a D+ if I'm lucky. He doesn't explain material, throws random assignments at you and docks 15-20 points per assignment with no reasoning. Extremely condescending and his lectures are so scattered and incoherent that no-one knows what going on.

This is my second professor rating ever. He is the worst professor I have ever had at UMass. This class was difficult, and there was little direction or explanation for most of what he does in class.

How to get an A. Go to class for the quizzes (you don't need to pay attention). Ask someone from a previous semester for the assignments/tests, I guarantee at least 1 person in the lecture hall with the Zip files of all the answers from last year. Go to office hours (30 minutes weekly) and he'll give you 100% participation + extra points on quizzes

Graham Gal is the worst. He's an awful person and an even worse professor. He is rude, arrogant and disrespectful to students. He never explains anything, is unorganized, and will throw assignments on students without warning on BBL. The material is very challenging as well so you will need a lot of help.

Graham is incredibly disorganized, rude, and condescending. He cancelled all of his office hours before an exam week, and his lectures are chaotic/disorganized. A lot of previous semesters work is on coursehero/the internet though. You're gonna have to google them to figure it out. Worst professor/class ever.

Take a different class however you can. Gal is completely disorganized, we seem to cover a different topic every class with no relation at all. The syllabus is awful, and he puts assignments on blackboard randomly without telling us and no explanation. Nice guy I guess but horrendous professor.

Worst class I have every taken in my life. He teaches systems, yet doesn't understand how to get internet access within his own classroom. Self-absorbed professor keeps chaotic schedule where you have no idea what is being covered or due on any specific day.

This class is horrible. Lectures are not clear and there is no syllabus so it is hard to keep track of due dates. He almost never gives full credit on assignments and takes points off without explanation. The majority of the class cheats by sharing answers on tests and using work from prior years. TBH, if you don't do this, you'll probably fail

This class is the worst I've ever taken in my life, and I took Res-Econ 212 last semester. Graham is condescending whenever you need help, office hours are continuously cancelled. Random points are taken off your assignments without explanation, the quizzes are on material you've never even heard of in class, and you're basically on your own.

The class is largely front loaded. The test and quiz material are things you haven't seen before. Online it sucks. He throws everything at you and lets you sort it out. He gave a blank figure on test and asked 20 3pt. questions. Figure was not in lecture, .ppt, or book.

If you really have to take either 311 or 312, take this. If it's not required for you, GTFO. I have never seen a prof disorganized. He gives quizzes on material he barely covers, not to mention that the material he covers is either vague or confusing. Due dates for assignments is vague and there's no syllabus. Not a bad guy, but horrible professor.

Honestly to put it as nicely as possible, this guy is maybe the worst person I have ever met. I'm only 3 weeks in so no grades yet, and I already despise this guy. He is extremely pretetious. Literally no clarity in terms of deadlines or work. How on earth this guy still has a job is beyond me

Assignments can be hard and tedious. He doesn't explain assignments well and then grades you harsh because "you didn't do what was assigned" even though you read it thorougly, he barely explains the confusion of the assignments even when you ask. Do all the work AND THEN SOME in order to do well. Get inside this guy's head and you'll do well.

Avoid like the plague. If you have to take any classes from this guy, save it for senior year or something. Unless you plan to go no life with the studying and workload for this course, don't think you are going to get a decent grade. Asking him questions also gets you nowhere because he gives the most ambiguous answers I have ever heard.

This is the hardest accounting class I have taken so far and I am a senior. Concepts are more technical and pertain to Microsoft Access and Visio. Once you know how to navigate these programs you are 50% ready to take on the assignments. Exams are straight forward and are based on 2 diagrams that are even given to you beforehand.
