His lectures were very dull in comparison to the experience he has working in the area of psychology. He comes off as very arrogant. Gives absolutely NO tips or hints as to what sections are on the exam and loves to say "everything's fair game". Answers questions like he has little knowledge of what he's actually teaching. Poor communication w/ TAs

Comment:

Dr. Reid had his grad students (the TAs for the course) do all of the work, aside from his online recorded lectures which were not compelling at all. He assigned 80 pages of reading per week, on top of the lecture and 2 forum posts throughout the week. Simply way too heavy of a workload for one course. Exams often had obscure, irrelevant questions.

Not a good prof. or person, he complains about regular teacher duties like answering emails and questions, VERY HARD exams, he comes across exceptionally pompous and arrogant

he's quite attractive, super charming smile, encouraging and nice, just that he doesn't seem to have much patience with students after class, and he asked a bunch of random questions every class which I really enjoyed because it gave me the opportunity to participate in the discussion, but he never remembered my name..I really liked him though!

Comment:

Kind and approachable. Much clearer and more experienced compared with the MD who was co-teaching with him. Fair exams, detailed analysis of the class's performance after each evaluation (which is very rarely done by other profs!) Hot looking despite his age and HE HAS A DECENT AMOUNT OF HAIR (which is extremely rare among middle-aged male profs!)

He test are pretty random... If you want to hear every student in the class talk about their thoughts on clinical psych take this class... He makes you feel like your in high school again (attendance, stupid hand-in work, and "group work)

he's crappy...not dreamy. His class lowered my avg big time. If you want to sit through 1 hour of student presentations EVERYDAY, twice a week, by all means take his course.
