Hands down, best econ teacher at EWU. Wish he taught all of them. Took this class with German, got 1.6 and retook it with Forsyth and got a 3.5 Quite the improvement because he is actually a good teacher and actually explains the material like a teacher should

One of the best professors I've come across at EWU. Excellent, excellent teacher. He's always throwing in some truly realistic humor. Honestly, if you come to class every day and take good notes, no reason you can't get an easy A in this class. It's not the easiest stuff ever, but he makes it seem that way, and there are never any surprises.

Forsyth is a great guy. One of the best, if not the best economics profs at Eastern. He refrains from controversy and thus never voices any strong opinions, which may or may not be to your liking. He has lots of experience teaching and doesn't overload students with homework. In fact, I found the class to not be that demanding. Read the book.

Dork, yes... but certainly the best kind. Real world use? You got it. He often explains current events. His humor is not only dry, its also slightly dark and hilarious. He once said after a discussion of what world leaders are doing, "Yeah,its really actually quite funny to watch to world fall apart." Read text before class & you'll will be golden.

Forsyth may have been one of the hardest (and smartest) professors I've ever taken, but I've never learned so much from one class. His tests are based off his lectures and occasional handouts; the first test is definitely the hardest. I was worried when I first met him on the first day of class. But overtime, he grows on you. Really important to come class though it is not necessary. Paying attention is also a must, including doing the homework. He has a dry sense of humor and knows what he is talking about.

Forsyth is kind of the man. You can be very successful in this class just 1) go to class, 2) take good notes, and 3) always stay kept up. Tests are kind of hard, but not overly. Forsyth just knows his sh*t, straight up. P.S. ALWAYS DO GOOD ON THE EASY HOMEWORKS & YOU'LL BE MONEY
