I loved Professor Flynn. She was a fantastic professor and really encouraged class discussion. She allowed in class work time and she loves to tell different stories and hear your stories as well. This specific class was really driven in the direction of students which was kept discussions very interesting! Very fair grader and gives good feedback!

Really great Professor! Most of our class was discussions and she would allow us to convey our opinions and discuss it as a class. She assigned multiple essays but all essays were due when you were finished (Don't Wait rtil end of semester though!). If you ask for help, she will meet outside of class. Use the Writing Center for help.

Great prof. She thinks outside the box and is really into writing. Her feedback is among the best I have had in my academic career. Dr. Flynn is funny and sometimes has a self-deprecating humor that is endearing. Love her!

This was THE best upper division GE class I have ever taken at Pepperdine (I'm a senior). Especially with the new $100 summer housing, this class is definitely worth taking in May. EASY. FUN. INTERESTING. CHILDREN'S LIT! fairytale/picture book/story analyses. Beware, it may ruin your cherished childhood stories. Everything seems sexual as an adult.

As an English Major, you will encounter her for almost everything which is awesome. I totally adore her. Funny, smart, light workload, huge creative liberty, fun tangents, no homework, amazing guest speakers, interesting discussions, attendance not mandatory every class. smart and funny, can I have her for every class??!

One of the best, most light-hearted people I've ever met in my life. Still consider her a mentor to this day! She DOES know her stuff, but doesn't turn her nose up to joking around like a lot of professors in her field may. She's a great person and can really be an excellent source of wisdom, friendship, and information for those who seek it.

Dr. Flynn is by far the best English professor at Pepperdine. Knows her stuff but is always joking around and having fun with students! Class was engaging and our final project was a satirical newspaper. Hence we spent 50% of class hours reading Onion articles and making fun of President Benton.

I absolutely adore Professor Flynn!! I've taken two of her classes. Her classes seem overwhelming at times, but in the end you'll have learned a lot. She will go totally out of your way for her students (even in her last week of pregnancy!!!). If you are looking for a class that you would find at a "real college" take hers. She is my Fav Prof:)
