I took Grant for Science 110 last semester. At the beginning of the semester and after getting my first essay back, I thought, What did I get myself into?? But he is a great teacher, always there to help if you need it. He's loud, talks fast, moves around a lot, but makes class fun! Lots of reading, but it's well worth it.

I took my first college class, Physics 110, with Grant over the summer. Wasn't bad for a summer class. Tests were crazy, but he didn't grade too hard. Had him for SCI 110 this past semester. This teacher is full of energy. Easy to listen to. Will repeat things. Do the work and its easy. I heard he wasn't coming back next semester which is a bummer.

I took the intercession class...reaaalllly boring. Lots of uninteresting readings about AIDS. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're interested in reading a bunch of stuff about theories. Not what I expected.

He makes his test and quizes harder than they should be and is proud to admit it! Chemistry is an extremly difficult subject (in my opinion) but Grant takes time out to help with whatever you need. He is very animated and hyper and I find it hard to focus on him in class b/c he moves around ALOT! So be prepared. VERY PREPARED!

This professor kind of acts like a mad scientist. But he can be very helpful if you ask him questions and has so much energy he sweats a lot. I failed almost every quiz and test but I did the homework and lab work and at times asked question and I passed with a B. You may have a hard time but if you need help, ask him questions!!!

I dont know how I passed but I did. If you put in an effort and dont get good grades on any of your tests/quizzes he will still pass you. He's crazy& full of energy. He knows his stuff but he cant not teach/explain it to others. He doesnt use the book,so dont bother buying one. This class was hard but if you know some chem you'll do fine. Good Luck

I was not looking forward to this class, but actually ended up enjoying it immensely and learning a lot. Grant makes his exams much harder than they need to be, but then you really learn the material and the Final Exam (Cumulative, Departmental) is a piece of cake. I recommend a study partner and doing all of the homework and asking all questions.

I dont know what everyone else is talking about b/c Grant is an awful teacher. Our whole class was so lost! He is very unapproachable. He makes problems 10x worse than they really are and he makes other people grade the labs. He also gives us study guides from another teacher. Tests are impossible and everyone fails the quizzes. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

This guy has amazingly level of energy. It's like a crack addict on red bull.. or worst. But thats what makes this guy an amazing teacher. He keeps his lectures interesting... but most importantly he keeps you awake. His class will be hard because thats just how the subject is, but he makes it as easy as possible. Just keep up on the reading.

The besssst teacher i've ever had..he is very energitic, outgoing, make laugh..overall the best teacher i ever had i thought i wasn't doing well but passed with flying colors. Love this teacher. Intersession was soooo fun with him. Thanks prof. Nebel

this is a hard subject but if u go to class every day, show up, pay attention & take good notes u will pass. lowest test score was 35% (which was dropped) & my highest score was 66%. I managed to pass the class with a B. show effort & u will pass. he is very smart & is very helpful. Also really funny makes class fun. take Grant, no one else!

Nebel is a good teacher. He makes chem not so bad. He knows what he's taking about and has his own style of teaching. there are 6 tests, no quizzes, homework and labs. If you work hard in his class you will pass. Trust me ... he's a good teacher. He's fair and he notices your effort. Take him!

really hard tacher and class. Hw is not worth alot. 6 tests and a final. Lets you drop your lowest test. Tests are not really from the HW more from lecture and reading the book. 66% is a C but the average on a test would be a 16/30. He does curve the grade at the end of semester. try someone else unless you have some understanding of chemistry.
