Comment:

Offers a lot of experience and insight to his students. I found his lecture style engaging. Can move fast at times. If you ask, he will explain concepts but may be long winded. I found tests to be challenging, he expects you to study. Overall, I'm glad I took the class and left feeling I gained knowledge from it. Expect to put in some effort.

If you like off-beat, confusing jokes this is your guy! Not especially difficult in grading, but be prepared--he's kind of a trip. General psychology is pretty boring and dry, so it was a little more interesting with this professor teaching.

Worst professor ive ever had in my life. I had him for psychology, a subject i was interested in prior to the class, and he ruined it for me. You cant understand a word he said bc he mummbles, he goes off on a tangent when lecturing and hes unclear about all of his assignments. I will never take one of his classes ever again.

Professor Horne is a great teacher. He is clear, and funny. He makes class interesting. His grading is fair. Assignments are not difficult. He really wants his students to learn. Very cool guy.

Professor Horne was a wonderful teacher. He is funny and I enjoyed his humor. He is very helpful and explains exactly what is expected. He has so much experience and knowledge. At first I was scared to take his class because i had read prior reviews. But it was wonderful. I have no complaints and I learned so very much.

Very poor teacher. He mumbles all the time and you can barely understand him. He gets mad when you ask questions and he grades very unfairly. His class is the only B I have ever received in college. Take another professor or you will regret it.

This has to be the worst teacher I have ever had. He does not know how to teach. He tells stories that do not relate to the lecture. Tests are unbearable. He does not cover any material that is on the test. No reason to go to class except for him to take attendance. A complete waste of money. I learned nothing from him. Avoid this teacher.

A waste of time taking Intro to Psychology with this teacher. He does not know how to teach. All he does is click power point slides. He mumbles and makes no sense. His exams do not make sense and everyone fails them. When is this guy gonna get evaluated by the college??? I will transfer to another college before I have to take another psy class.

HORRIBLE INSTRUCTOR! I can't imagine how this college allows this guy to teach. He cannot teach - just flips through power point slides. Tests are terrible and most students fail them. He tries to be funny but does not realize no one is laughing. No one cares about his stupid stories. He needs to teach the subject matter. Time to retire.

Things on concept sheets are not on the test. PowerPoints are not helpful. Either does not tell you what he wants in a paper or tells you when it is due. But if you need help, he will help you as much as possible. Nice and funny guy, but he isn't a very good professor.

He is possibly one of the most irresponsible professors I have ever encountered. I am usually an A student, but to get a B in his class was good enough for me. However, he somehow seemed to ruin my grade and gave me a D+. I never received anything lower than one C+ and that was the first test. He drops the lowest grade, so I still don't understand

Professor Horne is a great teacher, but i will say that his class is a bit more difficult and challanging than others. if you are not a fan of power point, then avoid him at all cost. his testing style is for every 3-4 chapters you have a test. however, if you read the power points and the chapters you will pass the class point blank. :)

Taking Life Span Development with him currently. I don't seem to learn much from his powerpoints. He's all over the place and doesn't give examples so you understand the concept. I have to read the book at home in order to learn anything. Also some of his test questions contradict the book. I wouldn't recommend him!
