He knows his history but for the exams you are expected to write one long essay and 5 short ones for the ID terms. If you like a teacher that lectures, gives no homework, and makes you read a lot then this is the class for you. If you don't like to read or have a hard time remembering information, this class isn't for you.

if you don't like long lectures, ithis class WILL bore you. Only gives three tests which are tough if you don't read. Spends too much time omplaining about his twins fancy tuition &how kids that get financial aid only to go for the money, many low blows abt administration. only 3 tests, all worth 100 points each. 20 possible extra credit points (very easy). lectures are interesting and there is no homework. I didnt get the book, but it would have been alot easier if i had. good lecture notes are crucial. very nice guy. does NOT tolerate cell phones. often lets class out early

Don't get me wrong, he knows his history, but when he grades those essay exams. It feels like, you tried so hard for nothing. Good teacher but tests are very complicated.

Professor Joseph is very knowledgeable on history. His class is all lecture, he is very interesting. He has a passion for teaching. Make sure you have caffeine before the class because it will help you pay attention. He has meetings off campus that are of use. He seems to grade hard, but if you read the book, and go to class you should get an A

He is a very nice professor. The extra credit is worth almost a full grade. Lectures in the class do tend to drag on. He will let you record his lectures if you ask and listen to music during his test if you ask. If you are unprepared for the midterm he will give you a couple of more days to study.

Class consists of 3 tests and 2 10-point opportunities for extra credit. Dr. Joseph expects you to be punctual and to read the book. He allows you to record the lectures if you ask first. He really likes to talk about Teddy Roosevelt and cars a lot. He has study groups during the week, so if you have trouble with class, you should take advantage!

Dr. Greg Joseph aka The American Muscle Car man is a great teacher! he knows his stuff when it comes to American History. He often gives study sessions at the local McDonald's down the street from LBCC for those that need additional help. He has a great sense of humor and I found myself laughing constantly in his class.

his lectures are semi-boring, but he can be funny. you need the book, he only gives 3 exams no other points so its crucial to do well on them. They are not hard as long as you go by his study guides. Not easy but not hard either, just takes a little elbow grease and you can do well!

Dr. Joseph is an excellent teacher! I'm in his History 11 class right now and his lecture may get a little boring at times but if you can stay focused they get interesting again pretty quickly. He makes it really easy for you to do well on the tests with his study guides and by making himself available for a weekly study group outside of class.

Passionate, funny teacher. NEED text for supplemental reading, it'll help. Lectures are semi-unorganized: gets sidetracked sometimes. 3 exams :1st, midterm and final so study hard. 2 extra credit, 1o pts each: attendance and an essay. Suggest you go to the group study sessions he provides. Lecture style difficult for me. Class is semi-hard work.

Dr. Joseph gave great lectures because he's very passionate about history. His class was neither easy nor hard, but you will definitely learn a lot. He's also super nice, always willing to answer questions. Just take good notes, READ the book, and everything will be a breeze!

He clearly does not care about the students and makes no effort to give them the opportunity to improve in the class. All he ever seemed interested in talking about was how spiteful the administrative faculty is to him and his wallet. He simply puts down a few obscure scribbles on the board and some random dates without a coherent explanation. He grades you on 3 essay exams only with the final being of no greater value, so whatever you get on the first one will most likely be your final grade.

Great teacher! Essay exams & defining terms/people/events. MUST ATTEND CLASS & READ ASSIGNED CHAPTERS! otherwise you'll miss out on important lecture notes & that is where you get many of the definitions for terms/people/events. Honestly, those who don't do well are students who want to take a nap in class and use the book for a doorstop

BEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD! people who don't do well in his class are missing out on an easy A. He is very helpful, and his lectures are interesting because you can tell he is passionate about what he is teaching. Great teacher.

Dr. Joseph is a great teacher, and gives great lectures. The only reason people complain is because they are too lazy to pay attention. The exams are not hard... Just take an hour or so prior to the exam to study.
