If you like history, you will have a great time in Sausville's class. He makes every topic fun and he tells hilarious personal stories that somewhat relate with the current subject. If you don't already like history, there is a good chance you will still enjoy this class and perhaps become a fan of history.

Professor Sausville's class is interesting. It is difficult to take notes because he is always going off on tangents but just take as many notes as you can. His tests are not difficult but make sure you look over everything on his review sheet. The tests are multiple choice, fill in the blank, matching, and usually labeling a map.

By far the best class I've ever taken on campus. Sausville is hilarious the class is super easy and he makes sure you understand everything that is said. As long as you show up and pay attention it's an easy A. He drops the lowest grade at the end of the semester and if you have above a 93% average you're exempt from the final.

Greg was the funniest History teacher I've ever head. The course was easy. The tests are a breeze as long as you study the vocab. There's a 5 page term paper; give yourself about two weeks to do it and don't cite encyclopedias. Lectures are something to look forward to. Sausville loves history and it shows through his excitement about the class.

Great teacher. Loves to tell stories that correlate directly to what part of history we're discussing. Mindful of other's viewpoints. Tries his best to educate and be fun at the same time (It works!). More teachers should be like this; this man is a role model for others.

History is a terrible subject for me. But Mr. Sausville made it bearable. His tests are fair, and he makes it clear what will be on them. It doesn't hurt that he is hilarious too.

This is the second time that I have taken a class with Sausville. He is one of the funniest people Ive ever met and tells the best stories. Medieval History was an awesome class. He only graded 4 tests, a midterm, and a 5 page research essay. If your average was 93 or above you didnt have to take the final. Do NOT buy the book, we never used it.

I took Sausville for Medieval History and again for Western Civ. I made sure I got him the second time around because hes my favorite professor at hvcc hands down. His lectures are hilarious and informative. If there is a downside to him its that he jumps around a lot during lecture but if you ask him to clarify hell be more than happy too.

He was very funny, but very very scattered. Im awful at history and honestly could not understand half the stuff he was saying. Maybe get the textbook. Tests are pretty hard. I think he adds points to your average though.

Absolutely amazing guy. Virtually guaranteed to have your sides splitting at least once a week. I took both his western civ class and his medieval history class. The former was purely for fun, and medieval history was just such a blast. no real need to take notes as he goes over everything you need to know the day before the test, of which there's4

I'm taking Greg's Western Civ class during the Summer and I absolutely adore him! He goes off on tangents in lecture but all of his tangents apply to what he's trying to teach. Very personable and I love talking with him after class! He gives 4 tests but drops the lowest score and if you have a 93% you are exempt from final.

If you have to take a western Civilization course either because you want to or have to, this is the professor you need to have! You will leave his class laughing from the hilariously funny stories he tells. You NEED to come to class. All you do is take notes, review for the test, take the test, and repeat. THERE'S NO HOMEWORK! He's the best!!!

Incredibly enjoyable class. He is hysterical and there will never be a time when you aren't laughing. Although his notes at times are scattered he is a very good professor. No homework and no papers. Only 4 tests, plus the mid term ( cumulative first two tests) and the final (only based on the last two tests). Highly recommend him!!

By far one of the best professors at HVCC! So glad I finished my last semester with him! Never wanted to miss class b/c he was beyond funny and his stories were phenomenal. Pay attention to his somewhat scattered notes, do the review guide before tests and it's an easy A.

This man is absolutely hilarious and makes any lecture easy to understand. You don't have to like history to be engaged in the lesson. He is very disorganized with his notes. Gave out review sheets before every test and had an open book final exam. It should be mandatory for HVCC students to take a class of his!

What wasted talent, this man is knowledgeable enough to work for Harvard, funny enough to be a stand up comedian on tour. Yet he chose to work for Hudson Valley. He is the greatest professor I have ever taken in my life and wish he could teach all of my classes. No I don't like histor.... actually I hate history but loved this class. Take him yw

If you have to tale Western Civ, this is the guy to take it with! I hated history, but he really puts it into a modern perspective! It makes it easier that he has a story about himself for every person in history.
