Comment:

Gregory is one of my favorite studio instructors. He may be long-winded and he takes up quite a bit of studio time with talking about things that may seem off-topic, but he always has a reason for what he says. He is so clear about teaching design principles, that you completely understand what you're supposed to be learning.

He's long-winded, so "circle-time" was sometimes boring. He has seemingly never-ending wisdom that comes from being in the field for so long. He'll talk you ear off about bowties and Louis Kahn. His one-on-one meetings with you about your project are very helpful and he gives great advice. He will tell you whether your design is good or not. No BS.

Greg is a great guy, sort of like a crazy grandpa who has an impressive collection of bowties and goes off on tangents. Although he is very firm when he doesn't like something you've designed, he is kind about it and gives you advice on what to improve. Very opinionated but that's just because of his previous experience in the field.

Gregory is a fantastic studio professor. If you are going into Arch 401, request him as a professor, you won't regret it. He will push you hard and has very high expectations, but he is always in class and will often times stay late and will come in on the weekends to help students out. He is a man who truly cares about his students and their work.

If you're taking this class instead of Cunnally you're in for a treat. He's a million times easier and isn't as detail oriented. His lectures are a little nutty and tend to be kind of random but you'll enjoy his varied choices of bowties.

He likes to go on tangents. You will want to skip lecture but most of his questions come from lecture sooo u have to go. It is the longest most pointless hour and 1/2 that you will spend. His TA's are for the most part jerks. Watch out for the old one
