honestly - this class was painful to sit through. if you happen to get any notes when he isn't ranting, you still get curveballs on the test. a studious person should be okay, but the crowd he draws will probably struggle. Enjoy him getting off topic and then yelling at you for not discussing course material. enjoy.

greatest and nicest prof I ever had. attendance is NOT mandatory. read the chapter he assigns, go over it in class, and take a test, thats it. No hw, one paper that only boosts ur grade, 3 tests altogether. Really funny and goes off on hour tangents and makes the class a group discussion which is really funny and interesting. great guy and class

Okay he seemed a little off his rocker at first but he's actually hillarious. Spends most of the class joking around with the kids in the class and telling us random stories. He also says he doesn't care if you show up or not. You should study for the tests though, they were harder than I expected from the way he teaches

Amazing professor. Listen, he realizes that most of us couldn't care less about this required religion course, so he makes it easy. He tells hilarious stories to accompany the facts that we need to know. No, quantity wise we didn't learn many things, but the things we learned were interesting and will stick with us. Just read the textbook.

Really awesome guy. 100% recommend. Does get off topic but who wants to be lectured about the bible for an hour and 18 minutes? Teaches very valuable life lessons and is hilarious. Read the chapter the night before the test and take notes in class and it's an easy A.

The class seems like a waste of time. The quizzes are weird because you need to block out all of the nonsense he says throughout the entire class. Wish it were a little more structured. The professor seems very laid back and doesn't stress much.

He's just one of those professors that you'll remember down the road. Very lenient and does not sit there lecturing about religion all class. SUPER funny guy even during an 8am class. His life lessons were actually really valuable. Just pay attention to the few times that he does talk about religion and you'll do fine. He'll literally make you LOL

Professor Sutterlin is an excellent and very knowledgeable Professor. He permits students to be engaged and to be involved. There are only three tests (including a final) that are not cumulative. He is also very funny and students want to come to his class. His "life lessons" are also very valuable.

Easy but extremely boring and waste of a class. He talks about random things all the time. His test are easy but very random things so you have to pay attention to everything . he doesn't review for test. Your final grade are three test only so you have to do well on them all or you'll do bad.

My absolute favorite professor here at iona so far. He is so funny and i learned so much from his 'life lessons'. The tests are super easy if you just read what he says and write down notes from the board. The final was optional if you had an 80 or higher on previous tests-final is non cumulative. He really learns everyones name and actually cares.

Class is simple, He gives in class reviews before the test. SHOW UP, ALL THE INFO FOR THE TEST IS HANDED TO YOU DURING REVIEW. I spent every class on my phone except the review days and got As on all exams: NO ESSAYS. NO HW. assigned readings are expected but i never even bought the book. he tells you what was in the reading during class. EASY A.

He is awesome! I've gotten an A on everything Ive done in the class thus far. Every lecture is basically an interactive conversation between the prof. and the class which makes it really interesting. He's not a conventional teacher and is very funny. The tests really aren't hard and you'll get an A as long as you take minimal notes.

One of the worst professors at Iona. It's nice that we do nothing all class but when it comes time for a test or paper the class doesn't know anything. You will not get an A in this class. I do not recommend this prof at all
