Dr. McKay is a great professor! She has been one of the most enjoyable professors I've ever had. The class was standard and had many lectures and the regular amount of homework and essays, but made more fun by all of the speaking and student participation. It was challenging, but I did learn about Art History and it was more fun than I expected!

Dr. McKay has the best personality, by far the best professor I have ever had. She really knows what she's talking about in depth, so she expects a lot from you, which is a really good thing. She also uses "reacting to the past" games to teach, where we are assigned roles in a time period and we have council meetings. Very fun. TAKE HER CLASS!!!

She is the best art history teacher on campus. She is not at all about just making you memorize a ton of stuff, she helps you learn and apply everything. She is very nice and funny! Very organized.

I thought she was so nice! But you should definitely go to class and don't make excuses about not doing classwork cuz she doesn't buy that crap. O and pay attention to grammar in your papers, she grades hard on that.

McKay is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She requires excellence, especially of those she knows are capable of it. You'll learn and retain a lot. Work hard, speak and present well, put thought into your papers, proofread for grammatical and spelling errors, and know dates for exams. I highly recommend her, and her classes!

Very put-together and organized - you can tell she really knows her subject area. Has high expectations, but makes them clear. Loved the course and wish I could take it again. Stickler for dates and organization in essay questions on exams. Learned (and retained) a lot from the class. Challenging but overall one of my all-time favorite professors!

She was a great teacher...I had her back in 2002. Her lectures was interesting and she was helpful. Her tests wasn't easy....She's a bit picky about the essays and the projects that we did...but overall, she was a good teacher.

She's awesome! She is extremely funny and animated during class, which makes things interesting. Make sure you take good notes and memorize all the dates and names of paintings. Take alot of time to write your essays, too; she is pretty adamant about correct grammar and such.

class was fantastic. fair grader, essays are blue book. attendance is key. gives lots of notes, rewards good classes with time outside, getting out early on fridays, etc. one of my fave classes and profs!
